We'll see how long before I get banned again. Apparently moderators don't like being backed into a corner and shown to be disingenuous hypocrites. I don't get on here much any more as I don't see too many interested in the things that I find valuable and productive.

Tech school is fairly easy if you are naturally inclined towards school. The hold your hands through the sections. 2 blocks are the "Commons" class. They cover the general principles of the equipment.

The next 6 block are airframe specific. Each section covers a specific part of the aircraft. Block 4 is Hydraulics and the various components. Block 8 is your Inspection block. Shows you how to properly inspect the jets.

Once you get to your base, most people just do standard launch and recovery for the first few months. Jets go up, jets come down. Refueling, Inspections and such. Fairly tame.

All the avionics systems are maintained by Avionics specialist (Specs) as are the Electric and Environmental (E&E), and in most cases the motors themselves are primarily worked by the Engines section. Leaving stuff like changing tires and brakes, flight control systems (mechanical side) and all that.

Again, I'll write more later. Probably make this into a post for everyone.

Crew Chief is the 2a3X3 AFSC. It is under the maintenace section of your ASVAB (you need a 54 score or something).

2 months of basic training, 4 months of tech school where you learn basic airframe stuff. Then its off to your first base. You spend your first year there doing OJT and Career Development Courses (CDC's), until you earn your 5 level. That will take you until you make Staff (E-5), when you become a 7 level.

I'll write more later when I get some time.

Oh fuck! I'm so sorry, almost forgot about that. I meant to get back to you way sooner. On my phone now, since I'm cabbing it back to work from lunch, but on my next work break I'll get back to you asap.

"Its a very good idea." It is not a sufficient response. Please refer to forum rules.

Yes, I know Mr. Kubrick's work and I must say that I am drawn to his raw darkness.. I really think if he would have directed AI, it would have been a fantastic movie. I am flattered that you say I look like Winnie in my pic... I've posted a more realistic pic (sans the stark contrast) on the members photos thread. So what type of movies do you like? I'm finished with undergrad (history) and grad school.. I'm getting my phd in clinical psychology and I am a clinical director for the court and I teach geography at a community college on the side.

Cause you lose all private functions when you are restricted.

Go ahead and give it a try now, I've been restored to full status.

Honestly? I somehow don't think an INTJ commune is a good idea anymore. I just don't think we'd get along so well after all. Maybe we'd form a REALLY awesome workforce if we worked in an INTJ-run organization. But not everyday life...

It's not cumbersome, I'm just a Kubrick wannabe and I'm looking for excuses to be a recluse! LOL. Oh I wish I was in the US. Also, I'm not that attractive (it's just that people have different standards here, so I'm very noticeable--in other cultures, I'm a plain Jane).

I wouldn't say I'm famous in the tech industry -- I've just had a few popular open source projects and hacks that made my IRL nickname fairly well circulated for a while. I like to keep that nickname completely separate from the forums to keep the two from being linked, just for the comfort of privacy.

The previous message was just a realistic radiography and my tone was quite detached. Maybe your friends don't seem to feel pessimistic because they weren't affected that much. After all , we are a latin nation with strong balkan influences - happy till the end ...From my point of view the next political elections will be like a poker game, the best cheater-party will get the cheese and people will mainly get hopes & illusions :D ....Regarding folks who don't have jobs - they usually "go west" (Germany , Austria, Italy, Spain ), the majority works under the table...excepting those involved in IT or medical field. And one little question: why living in America sometimes feels like being trapped in an asylum ?

well , i am the lady with bad news *officially we're out of economic recession, practically we're still struggling and my prediction is that things won't improve enough till 2013 when another economical crisis is expected in europe * unemployment is still a major problem in small towns , low wages * health & educational systems are a total disaster : the national health policy is insane...hospitals can't provide enough medication for patients and sometimes they have to buy it despite being hospitalized... school is not what used to be (in terms of competence)... young doctors are leaving the country because they get about 200$/month after graduation * the political situation is unstable, our "dear" president Basescu turned out to be an ass ....But you are right, i would never leave
