It wouldn't hurt to get evaluated for depression. And, I think in some sense forums can increase a sense of isolation.

I never really plan too much. I simply envision the goal; point my nose in the right direction; and set off on a mission. I enjoy the scenery and the adventures along the way and learn a few things, and I have always ended up in the right place at the right time to get what I went after. I just always assume it will all work out right and it does. Education? I think an education is a value for its own sake and having a broad and deep education (formal and/or informal) gives a person a huge advantage in life. As for choosing a field, choose something you are passionately interested in and think creatively about broadest range of applications possible. However, remember to pay careful attention to your own personality and aptitudes when making decisions about specific job positions. Half the battle is deciding to win.

You want away from that. You know you can use the lessons you learned in a good way in life. Promise yourself you will do that, that you will have a good life and that you will give something good to life so you are not wasted. Life and love are one and the same, so cultivate life as you would a love, and love as you would a life. Envision it, commit to it; promise life and promise yourself; and then go create it into reality.
