I really don't have a preference but I don't see what an arcade will add that our games don't already.

Eh. There's little hope of me ever hopping on the hate Windows band wagon :]

The kernel in particular is a thing of beauty.

Thank you. The web causes more negative knowledge about so many subjects then is necassary. It only takes someone who is looking at possibly using Linux to read CRIM's comments and be put off for life, even though they are incorrect. It's probably what happened to CRIM.

Ok. I agree hacking is OS agnostic, being more of a mindset rather than a particular suite of tools or knowledge. The only point I was making in my post was that my hacker friends happen to tend to use Windows as their desktop (and of course plenty of Linux shells open as needed, maybe a macbook for travel).

If you've been to a Defcon conference, there is a sea of crackers with their Linux desktop with cliche "leet" wallpapers and green-on-black console windows. They've downloaded some "hach.sh" shell script, put on their black t-shirt and jeans, and call themselves hackers :P

So, I get annoyed by that and feel it's worth mentioning that being comfortable with the usability of an OS, and having a suite of tools available, is a big attractor for actual hackers to end up using Windows, even though it doesn't fit the stereotype.

    Sorry to misinterpret ya

No, not crackers. I have a background in the scene. Your question just comes off passive aggressive because I explicitly spelled out in my post that I'm referring to real hackers.

I trust the browsing is suitably... instructive. Mmm, latex is taking it in a whole other direction, one I very much like.

I favour corduroys myself on a daily basis. Makes it easier to bum around, and requires less washing.

Have you ever seen a nice man's ass in spandex?

    Although, I don't like spandex.
