Haha! That reminds me of a FB screencap where a girl "ended her relationship" and a guy who was crushing on her "liked" it. Imagine the ensuing mayhem. Personally I'm an extremely private person. I don't want to sit with my partner in a friend group and have people tread around us like they're the third wheel. I also hate being the subject of gossip. I can never have enough privacy. Whenever I need advice I usually go to the internet and change identifying details. In my view if I have a problem with HIM I should only sort it out with him. But after the fact I have no obligations to that person anymore and nothing's at stake. At this point if I want to go over the relationship I hit up a close friend and all the good, neutral and the bad comes out.

What about weddings though? I'm ethnically Chinese and my parents have very traditional notions of weddings. They want me to invite my great aunts and second cousins whereas I just want immediate family and close friends. It was like: Why do you get to turn the consummation of MY relationship into a public spectacle?
