That return was very temporary. Hopefully this return will be more "permanent". I am, again, honoured that you noticed. All well?

You got me thinking about sincerity. I think I see where you were going. I've begun to reevaluate my approach to sincerity (on your nudging). I wonder if I've sacrificed being honest with myself for the good of being earnest.

I think for example, George W. Bush was an earnest president as well as self deluded. What value is there in an authentic performance if I still define myself as a performer on a stage?

    In fencing, I'd say, "touche."

It's a back and forth dance I do which seems purposeless.

Honestly, I can't always tell when I'm hamming it up either. Where I try to be sincere, I also say a lot of idiotic (but sincere) stuff.

For many years I wished I could stop having experiences.

For me, it was only after I stopped trying to distinguish what was real from what was unreal that I found any peace of mind. It has become easier believing I will never understand any of it.

I do have goals in mind again. Been through a rough patch when i posted that thread but i am in a better place now, new perspective and less thinking about existential crisis. Thank you for your message. How are you? What keeps you busy?

    Heh heh.

Maybe I was fishing a bit. Thank you for humouring me. But now I'm ashamed of myself. The whole thing feels so cheap.

ISTPs are the most. Literal. ISTJs have a better sense of humor.
