| User Options |
Options Bar The options bar above the text input box is where you can configure most of your options. The options you set are saved between visits. Emoticons 
You can see the available emoticons here. You can also select emoticons without using the menu by typing the name of the emoticon surrounded by asterisks. Ie: *smile* = The Bell  The bell plays a sound to get the attention of other users. Don't worry, it's turned off for everyone by default so only those who want to hear it will. Text Fomatting  You can change the color, font and size of your text here. Avatars  You can select an avatar that will appear next to your name from this menu. Clear Screen  This clears all messages in the active window. Options  You can toggle sounds on and off in this menu: enter/exit sounds, new message alerts, and the bell. Sounds are off by default. You can also turn off private messages in this menu. History  This brings up a window with a history log of the active window. You can see timestamps here. Help  Clicking this will bring you back to this chat help page. |
| Whispers and Private Messages |
| Whispers appear to the user they are sent to in whatever room they have active. Only the sender and recipient can see them. Private messages open up a popup window between the sender and recipient. When the private message window is minimized the title bar will change colors when there is a new message. |
| Joining and Creating Rooms |
| Use the dropdown menu above the user list to select a room to join. Clicking on the room name in the user list will expand or collapse the user listing for that room. Clicking on the icon to the left of the room dropdown menu will bring up a dialog to create a new room if your usergroup has the appropriate permissions. User created rooms will disappear after everyone exits. |

| Q: Can I use a standalone client to access the chatroom? A: Not at this time. In the future there may be a mobile client.

| Post Youtube Videos |
| Load the page of the video you would like to share on Youtube. Underneath the video, click the button that says "Share". Copy the URL that opens below the button. Paste the URL in the chat input box to play it in the current room.
