My opinion about self-esteem? It's essentially a fraudulent idea that we can "build children's self esteem." Children buiild their own self-esteem, and it comes from accomplishment, not trophies for "participation."

I'd actually be curious to hear your opinion, your arguments were very logical in the thread.

It's so pervasive and wickedly hard to stop. Once people latch onto something like that, they don't give up their beliefs easily. Don't even get me started on "self-esteem."
