Let's say, sometimes I have to face strong competition from other women and compliments from intelligent guys like you makes me feel really better! Thank you very much for the songs. I will listen to them in the evening, cause I'm leaving for my work right now. Many many regards,
I like your language...and your compliments too. Sometimes I really need compliments from friends. Thank you. I was trying to find some good mexican songs the other day, but I couldn't. Do you have any to suggest me?
It's my language, it's the language of Mexico, spoken by the Aztecs and Toltecs, before the Spaniards came. On my father's side I am Nahuatl, my mother's side is Irish. Auh e noahahuiac te xontlachia pipiltic cihuatzintli (and it's my pleasure, you look like you're of nobility)
I absolutely agree with this. It is the reallity (truth) that is hidden behind communication messages of every kind (images, music, words etc.) that can shock people! That can make them think!
It's more how it's presented, I mean, look at a movie like Scream vs. The Shining, Scream has lots of blood and death...yet it doesn't frighten, the Shining has only two deaths in the entire movie. It's mostly psychological, it's rather the temperature of the colours, the sounds, the timing.
Any kind of violence should be condemned. And sometimes showing true images that are so fierce might shock people. I just wonder- does this help them to think clearly and do something about it, or they are just get used to violent images and nothing really disturbs them anymore. I think people nowadays are lazy to even think deeper about things. Unfortunately.
In addition, with shock tactic, some things get people listening, a good example is the footage of Abu Ghraib, when people saw that, it created uproar. Which is what is needed when expressing a social injustice.
ah well, see if we are exposed to constant trauma, we eventually start to be desensitized to it, see systematically we tend to depersonalize things, it's a defense mechanism. Unless someone has zero empathy, in which case I'd severely worry, it's usually due to constant trauma. I'm glad you like NIN, it's not everyday music I agree, like most Industrial music, it focuses on issues most fear.
I have some free time today for thinking. I was thinking about shock tactics you were talking the other day. I agree with shock tactics. But I don't think, that we get shocked easily anymore. Nothing can shock us. And that is really scary! Have we lost morality? Well, I don't know. Maybe...Just some loose thoughts my dear comrade! Loose thoughts.
