Hope is everywhere, as long as people are ready to open their ears and listen. Sadly, few do and allow drudgery instead.

I more or less agree with you. If we add up corruption - systematic corruption of politicians I would dare to say- then we have the perfect mix of a vicious circle.
In such situation, I still want to believe there is some hope. Somehow, sometime, somewhere!

There are ways to enslave without giving someone little. Think carefully, the very nature of consumerism is exploitation, just because we have nice houses or cars, does not mean we are any less controlled or in slave, in fact more so. Just like the NPD/ASPD uses mixed reinforcement to make his/her victims codependent. Government and Business (and it's no wonder that lots of leaders of both are Narcissists) can very easily lull us into a masquerade, between the masks though, horrors of being controlled dwells all the same. If someone is lavished with gifts and praise, yet devalued, they'll be even more dependent on the situation, it's basic psychologiy of abuse.

Perchance, another thing can be disinformation, misinformation and bias. If people are maligned and dispaired long enough, we become drones to drudgery, we follow without question and are lulled into other's bidding. We become desensitized to both our own and other's suffering, the reason being the message is perhaps not relayed the right way, or we have (as Serj Tankian puts it) been lulled into a System of a Down.

I believe we have all these -more or less. United stand, proper trade unions, labour education, use of media and internet -and yet things are not changing, why?
I think the magic word is repressed. We are not really repressed anymore. We have too much - to be repressed. What we really are-most of us- is unconcerned. And what we really miss is open mind leaders that could think better structures of a well developed urban society.

United stand, proper trade unions, labour education. Media can be used, we have the internet, it's more powerful than people can imagine. I don't belong to any specific party, but my political leanings are Marxist. There needs to be mass awakening of the repressed. Whether with media, word of mouth or the written word.

I don't belong to any political party myself. I'm just trying to watch what is happening around me.
Solidarity of working class! And just how that can be done?
With no real choice of good politicians and directional-directive mass media I don't think much can be done. Except maybe, trying to keep our eyes and minds open!

Bourgeoisie Democracy serves to empower the Bourgeosie, with the huge political action campaigns governments get from companies, they would rather support the corporations and investors than care about the Working Class. Working Class solidarity and parties need to take power for that to be achieved. Most people empower care simply for that - power. "The sleep of reason breeds monsters" - Goya

I wish companies and government listens. Especially governments! I don't think they listen anymore. The only thing they do is trying to avoid consequences of strikes. But a decent government should face the problem and solve it, not avoid it!

Pretty much the same news as the rest of the world then lol. Oh well, strikes are good at least, assuming the companies and government at some point listens.

and and my dear comrade! I always knew to set priorities!

(I always admired people who studied and work at the same time, or doing many interesting and difficult things at the same time! )

I am neither a working mother or do I have two sons. However, I have both studies and work, not to mention being INTJ...which is stress in itself :P (you try having a conversation and small talk if you have low people skills like we do lol). I'm glad you are including us to the day to day schedule and glad you are enjoying this forum.

I'm actually a working mother with two! sons. That makes things ever more complicated. When they have a quarrel between them, they are like two roosters fighting!
But I don't give up easily, you know! If I have to drink more cups of coffees to contend challenges I will do it!
I like this forum. And if I like something, I usually find the way to "include" it in to my life

It's a total challenge! Lol, get on when you have the time. I can imagine with work and a six year old, that is quite a challenge to find uninterrupted laptop time (understanding the need for coffee too), good thing you're not an introvert, we'd have gone mad lol.
