Okays, I might try out a few episodes of it, been a while since I watched a bit of anime so might try that one. Evangelion is probably my favourite so far, though like I said in that thread I was a little disappointed in the ending.

Yeah I don't watch many anime either, really. I've seen my fair share, don't get me wrong, but so many people have to watch all the little obscure ones that aren't that good and, it's just not my thing. Elfen Lied was probably one of the better ones. Give it a shot through, say, the first 3 episodes. See what you think. And I've only ever watched a very small number of Evangelion episodes and I did so when I was really young so I don't remember it at all.

I see, I do watch a little anime sometimes, though I'm not sure Elfen Lied sounds like my kind of thing. I tend to like comedies and psychological thrillers more, but on the subject of poor endings, I was really disappointed with the ending to the Evangelion anime. Even the films didn't really seem a much better alternative to me, but better than the series ending I thought.

Courage was basically a kid's horror series. It was real funny and was pretty creepy in places. It's been pretty consistently popular, but it only saw about 3 seasons.

As for Elfen Lied, that one's an anime, and a notoriously violent one at that, involving plenty of gore, gratuitous nudity, an incestuous relationship, torture, rape/molestation, etc. That said though it was all woven together brilliantly and wound up almost like this sort of grand tragedy. They severely shortened it though. What was about 65 chapters (every 1 or 2 being the equivalent to an episode) turned into a 13 episode series that should have lasted far longer and actually ends the entire series with this horrible cliffhanger that's never satisfied.
