I got hit in the jaw by a guy sometime in early high school, and I'm pretty sure that was the same year I decked a girl in the eye, too. Oddly, there was no punishment for any individual, in either circumstance.
I've learned to restrain myself, since.

when i was in the seventh grade i shared a locker. we were both at the locker and some 8th grader started pestering the other guy. i said back off or something. i thought i could comedy routine my way through it so i told the guy beside me to hold my books, and as i turned back around to throw some witty wisdom he caught me in the jaw. it had turned into a wrestling match when they broke us up.

MortalWombat
09-17-2010, 03:12 PM
I've pretty much always been the way I am currently, only with minor changes. I'm a lot less 'wild' and angry now, and I've recently realized that I have become more assertive and able to take leadership roles in group situations, now.
You?
Taste of peat
09-17-2010, 05:08 PM
The same for me, excluding the fact I was shy and much more attracted by video games and fascinated by negative things (from WW2 to pissing random people off). Now I overcame this wild, and essentially teenage, part of myself, to turn it into power and quiet desire.

How often do you go "out" (to socialize) on weekends?
MortalWombat
09-18-2010, 12:22 PM
I never really did that much before classes, but now, never. I would usually go out with Alex on Saturdays, but we would usually just go play cards or take a walk or something. Now, the most I 'go out' is to the library to study. :stare: My hermit-like introversion is completely okay with that, though.
You?
WyohKnott

Usually about once per weekend. Twice is okay, but my introversion begins to rebel a little. (I'm always astonished by those who spend the whole weekend socializing - I need the time to replenish my social and regular energy)

Do you read much, as a hobby?
jonnyb
09-18-2010, 01:20 PM
Not much as a hobby, however, I read quite a bit for my hobbies and work. For such reasons I think reading a waste of time as it is always needing done before I am able to dive into some projects.

Yes, I sometimes get a bad intuition from some people. Maybe they just seem compedetive, or dull, or mean-spirited. Perhaps from the way they respond in certain situations, their body language, their tone ect. I sometimes purposfully try to get to know people I feel bad about at first meeting them simply to prove myself wrong and try to condition such premature judgment out of my psyche. Usually I'm right about them in some sense though, but on the other hand I do learn more about them, and learn about the hidden good things about them that may not have been obvious from the start.

In Romania in the town of Sigasoara I went on a self guided, lone tour in a section of town and ran into a local who I had a rudimentary conversation with. Between our limited understandings of English, German, Spanish and rock bands, we were able to have a meningful conversation. He also let me take a few pulls off of his 3 Liter plastic bottle filled with homemade plum brandy. I slept like the dead that night. It is a part of my life that I shall never forget.

No, though I have found myself contemplating what it would be like to be burned like an ant under a magnifying glass. Typically I contemplate what it would be like to be any number of things under much more mundane circumstances (What does a cat think when she sits on the window sill? How does a dog feel when his owner gives him the last bite of a sandwich? Are goldfish surprised by the bubbles from the tank decorations? What would a pigeon say to itself if it could ponder its meaning in the universe? etc)
