How do you deal with uncertainty?
09-03-2010, 10:16 AM
Not as well as I do with known variables. Often uncertainty can freeze me up as I procrastinate dealing with it. I have a lot of original ideas but then get stuck implementing them cause of the inherent uncertainty of real life function. It is also one of my biggest reservations about making plans which involve other people because dealing with people is the most uncertain of all things.
09-03-2010, 01:22 PM
Same answer. These days uncertainty makes me very anxious.

09-05-2010, 08:11 PM
My time, love, compassion, whatever to someone. Tangible shit is stupid.
09-05-2010, 08:17 PM
It's really cheesy. Two Christmases ago, I didn't know what to get my friends on an art student budget that would actually mean anything. I took my largest sketchbook and cut out a two-by-three-foot heart, then drew lines across it to make it appear as though it was made of dozens and dozens of puzzle pieces. In each piece, I wrote the names of my closest friends, then made a copy of the heart and cut out the labeled pieces. I took a picture of the whole heart and shrunk it down to postcard size and made multiple copies. I tucked each ''Puzzle Piece'' into a card, with the corresponding piece blacked out on the card so it appeared as though the piece was missing. Then inside the cards I wrote some sappy personal stuff or an inside joke, wished my loved ones a happy holiday, and sent them off. I wonder what I did with the original giant heart. It had over a hundred blank pieces, and some of those need names.

(Oh, and they picked out my brother's name the same way. It was a toss-up between Henry, Virgil and Chad. He's blond, so my big burly ESTJ diesel mechanic bro is affectionate referred to as The Chad Monster to take off the sting.)

09-08-2010, 01:13 AM

09-09-2010, 08:15 PM
Winter. It's cozy and I like winter gears.
Have you ever considered adoption? Why or why not? If yes, what age would the child be?
09-09-2010, 09:15 PM
i don't like kids. would adopt if i found the perfect person who would stay with me only on the condition of having a kid, and no way am *i* having a kid. would be young, doesn't really have to be a baby though. gah, don't even want to think about this. at first i thought the question was, "ever considered abortion" and i would have said yes if i were under 20 and had an accidental child situation.

09-12-2010, 05:59 AM

09-12-2010, 06:15 AM
yes, but the butterfly effect says some of the good stuff would have never happend without some of the poor decisions i might want to correct. i would love to go back as a fly on the wall in my life, and analyze, but not change stuff.
09-12-2010, 06:19 AM
No, not really.
09-12-2010, 06:50 AM
There are a couple days I'd like to be able to relive, but not change anything.
What are your plans for today?
09-12-2010, 08:14 AM
Fill out 50,000 pages of 'career building' and 'lifetime goals' work :irked:, go buy white shoes, go buy a watch with a ticker, read, analyze and write essays on chp 15-30 in TKR, finish TPFASTT, call little Miss Alex, finish 6 pages of calc honors work.
I like busy days, kinda..
09-12-2010, 08:44 AM
Well. I was going to go to this festival with a friend, but it's rainy and muddy outside, so that's no longer an option :(. So... let's see, I have some homework to finish (biology and calc II), some sewing to do, and I think I shall make a large batch of pancakes to freeze. And perhaps I'll watch some Arrested Development later as well.
What seemingly innocuous act pisses you off the most?
09-12-2010, 09:05 AM

09-12-2010, 09:34 AM
People saying 'um', 'you know', and 'like' all the time as filler words.

Err... in a previous life? :p
What do you typically eat for breakfast?

Right now, Romania and wander around for the said year.
09-12-2010, 10:17 AM
Ireland. I'd spend the year trying to pick up the accent.
What is the most bizarre phone call you have ever received?
09-12-2010, 10:21 AM
A bootie call from someone who dialed the wrong #. It was quite entertaining.
09-12-2010, 02:45 PM
None that I can think of.
09-12-2010, 03:00 PM
Once, at about 2:30 in the morning while I was living in Florida, the land line rang and woke me up from a nap on the couch. There was no data on the Caller ID, and when I answered there was an echoing static sound. I said hello a few more times, then heard heavy breathing and a very, very deep voice drawled the word Hiiiiiii, and my name. My friend Heif is the only person with a voice that deep, so I said his name a few times. The voice laughed and hung up. I went back to sleep on the couch for a few more hours and confronted Heif about it the next day. He would have told me if he were pranking me, but to this day he insists he wasn't. I have no idea what that was.

09-12-2010, 07:08 PM
I've never been on a plane.
09-12-2010, 07:09 PM
^^Bake and eat cookies, and read a favorite book. (Ha! My answer was different. :p Though, to be completely honest, INTJf is often part of my reward as well.)
Wow, too slow. I went to Florida. Actually, technically, I flew home from Florida, but I decline to say where home is.
A fate worse than death, for you? (creative/joking answers welcome)
09-12-2010, 07:22 PM
My ''Rat Mask'' is the dentist's chair. Ohhh, I hate it, and I've spent so much time there in the last year. And I've got five more months to go.
09-12-2010, 07:27 PM
A high school reunion, with all of those people I can't stand, whom I've finally managed to get away from. You might think I'm joking - I'm not, I assure you.
Have you ever had anything of yours stolen?
09-12-2010, 07:30 PM
Many things. I had my car broken into a few weeks ago and lost about $400 in electronics. Some of my work was copied in one of my classes and I couldn't prove it was originally mine. Lots of things have been stolen. Including... *sniff* my heart. *sob!*
Do you mix your fountain drinks at restaurants?
09-12-2010, 07:32 PM
^ I was just waiting for someone to say "my heart." Sorry about the other stuff, though... that sucks.
Oh, yes! Lemonade and ginger ale is my favorite.
09-12-2010, 07:41 PM
Not since I was 10....
Do you vote?
09-12-2010, 07:53 PM
Yes, even though it's pointless and my vote is ultimately thrown away, I do vote.
Do you vote?
09-13-2010, 01:52 AM
I registered to vote the day I turned 18 and have never missed an election in the last 30 years.
Have you ever been called for jury duty?
09-13-2010, 03:22 AM

How many cars have you had your name on the title?
09-13-2010, 05:13 AM

09-16-2010, 06:14 PM

Have you ever asked for forgiveness?
09-16-2010, 08:03 PM
Yes, and it wasn't given.
Do you adhere to ''forgive and forget"?
09-16-2010, 08:07 PM
No. It's probably my least favorite quality in myself, that I am incapable of that.
Do you think it is a good thing to forgive and forget? Or is just one of those enough?
09-16-2010, 08:22 PM
It's nonsense to 'forget'. Why would you want to forget something you could learn from, and therefor avoid in the future?
Do you hold grudges?
09-16-2010, 09:04 PM
Sometimes. I have 3 people who I will forever despise.
09-16-2010, 11:06 PM
yup. not one of my more attractive personality traits, but people know better than to get on my bad side in the first place if they're smart.
09-17-2010, 03:46 AM
sorta. if there seems to be no remorse, i give no sympathy.
do you get angry enough to flare violence?
09-17-2010, 04:42 AM
No. That never happened. I used to get angry a lot as a younger person, but zen practices helped me mitigate that problem. ;D
09-17-2010, 05:20 AM
Not often. I have a long fuse (unless I have an obstinant project that doesn't work the way I want it, then it is immediate) and it isn't healthy for me or the person who decides to fan it.
What is your most reoccuring woulda, coulda, shoulda thought?
09-17-2010, 07:32 AM
That I should have decided to live on campus.
09-17-2010, 08:46 AM

Currently drinking an Americano.

Yes, I punched a guy once, and have come very close several other times. And I am almost positive other people have come dangerously close to kicking my ass from time to time as well. :p
