When was the last time a cashier or teller fucked up and pissed you off? How did they fuck up? What did you do?
Seriously
07-14-2010, 09:47 PM
One of my client's is moving and having new checks made. They asked me to take the ones from the printer to the bank to make sure the routing number was right. The bank had changed hands so it was different from the one on the old checks. I am there making a deposit into the accounts. I ask the teller if she can just verify the routing number.
"Are you a signer on the account?"
"No, but I'm not asking you to give me any information just check if the routing number is right"
"I can't do that because you aren't a signer on the account"
"Are you kidding me??"
"Let me get a manager"
Proceeds to tell the manager what I want and that I'm not a signer on the account.
"Well I can't really give you any information on the account"
"I"m not asking you for any information outside of verifiying YOUR ROUTING NUMBER"
Looks at the check.
"I don't think that's it"
"You don't know your own routing number?"
"It depends on where the account was opened"
"It was opened here"
"Then I don't think that's right but I"m not sure"
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???
Then I left and told my client they really need to get a new bank.
You? ;D

Same teller at a bank on two different occassions.
#1 *JonnyB walking away, looks at reciept and finds that a 100$ payment got posted as 1000$. Moral conscience takes over, goes back to teller*
"You credited me a thousand for my payment of 100."
"oh, I'm sorry. I will change that. Thanks"
#2 a 1 1/2 months later after another transaction I get my loan statement in the mail to find that my recent 1000$ payment got entered as 100$. *takes statement to bank and by fate have to talk to the same teller gal as a month prior*
"I had inconsistant numbers on my last statement which indicates I only made a 100$ payment when it was really a thousand."
"Oh, I remember you from a month ago. That was with that transaction then that I accidentally credited your account 1000$ and changed it to 100$."
"No, this is a the more recent payment where I really paid 1000$" *hands clerk statement along with prior month's statement because I am prepared*
"Oh, you are right." *I supply ample INTJ gaze* "my computer shows that it really was only 100$."
*hands the banks own payment receipt because I save them all!*
"Oh, this indicates 1000$ and it is for the date of the 100$ payment. Well.....
*cuts off well mid stride and hands a copy of my cleared check*
"Oh, this check is made out to us on the same day as the indicated 100$ payment."
*Offers another plenty of INTJ gaze backed up with a 'way to go Sherlock' gaze underlayment*
Eventually, it all worked out and I even got retro interest in the amount of 0.38$ refunded as well.
Um.... a little easier ? Have you ever had any teeth pulled?

I've had two near-death experiences (that I know of). One was when I was nearly gibbed by a semi on I-5. I was passing the driver on the left and they apparently forgot, for that moment, that two solid objects cannot pass through each other and tried to change into my lane. I swerved to my left where, fortunately, there were no other cars. Maybe it wouldn't have killed me the semi had rammed into me, but I doubt it would have been pretty.

WyohKnott

I was driving at night in the rain through a construction zone, at about 50 mph. I'd just come round a curve in the road when I realized that there was another car, on the wrong side of the road, headed straight for me (it was only a two lane road- one each way). I honked and flashed my high beams, but he didn't get back on the right side, so I had to swerve off the road, taking down a whole row of traffic cones. The next day, the cones were replaced by a concrete barrier...
