Experiencing life as an ESFP would be interesting I reckon.
After having lived as an ESFP for a year, how - if so - would you incorporate your newfound knowledge into your usual self?

Urban. Rural areas are less convenient and somewhat creepier. Contrary to popular belief, you can bury yourself from people in a city; you don't need to be in the middle of nowhere.
Same question.
Minerva
06-01-2010, 09:08 AM
Rural although like Synapse eluded to it is much more difficult to get lost in the crowd there. There is no crowd!
I like nature, but I need to have easy access to the city.

06-01-2010, 11:56 AM
I'm going to take a liberty with this question and reply with an artist. I really like Lady Gaga, and that just isn't like my musical tastes at all. As for the why, the only reason I can attribute to this preference is that I'm always trying to figure her out, and that keeps me intrigued, I guess.
Same question.
Valhalla

If you could elaborate on the Lady Gaga fascination, for all I see is a competent businesswoman.
There are a few ballads that I really like("I will always love you" Whitney Houston version, "When you believe" Whitney Houston+Mariah Carey, "The power of love"), given my usual taste in music not what is to be expected.
What do you think is one of the big differences between living in a European country and living in the U.S. or Canada?
Fyrnae
06-01-2010, 02:40 PM
I can think of two, speaking from the UK:
1) a generally slower pace of life
2) Here, you have class whether or not you actually have money, there (US) they seem to think that money infers class.
Same ?
AtheneNoctua
06-01-2010, 02:41 PM
It depends on the European country... each has it's own culture, own language etc.
Possibly that living in America gives you an impression that 'Europe' is a solid block...
Big difference would have to be that time and distance are viewed differently (I think someone once said that for an American, one hundred years is a long time and for an Englishman, 100 miles is a long way)
Same question - preferably for an American/Canadian
Valhalla
06-01-2010, 03:28 PM
Neither of the latter two, but here it goes:
1)Pragmatism. In the U.S. and Canada there's more of a culture of accomplishment which is less the case in Europe(with the exception of Russia, perhaps).
2).Double edged sword: in Europe people work to live, in U.S. it's the other way around.
Same question.
*edit*
Class system in the U.S./Canada is much less complicated(or so it seems to me at least).
Bobsama
06-01-2010, 05:02 PM
Language would probably be the most apparent. Food would be secondary. Religion and attitudes tertiary.
Do you listen to Folk or Americana?
Valhalla
06-01-2010, 05:07 PM
Taken that Americana is mainstream American pop music I'd say that neither really is correct. Prefer (industrial) metal(Rammstein, Oomph, some of E nomine, Laibach), but like rock as well. My favourite singer Kate Bush is somewhat of an exception to what I usually listen to, find "The Dreaming" to be the work of a dark genius.
Same question.

I do. I've always had a big interest in historical music. I soak this stuff up like a sponge. Whether the sound itself actually pleases me or not, I will listen to it all the way through, if I can.
