what's one of your biggest pet peeves?
Cooper
05-22-2010, 04:40 PM
People asking me a question, then getting mad because they don't like the answer.
Good Q....same?
when someone starts to say something, but doesn't finish or ends it with "... nevermind" or "i don't know".
if you could change your name, what would you change it to?
MassHysteria

Lois. I always liked that name.
What? I do! It's got dignity.
Same Q?
i'd probably just switch my first name with my middle name, Catherine. i've never liked my first name.
same question :3
Cooper

I like Cooper. There aren't very many and I like that....
If you could have lived in a different time, when would you liked to have lived and why?
during the early-to-mid 20th century, going into old age and dying well before the 90's; it was a much simpler time.
same question.
Cooper
05-22-2010, 05:16 PM
The 1800s, before the time of reservations and wars with the whiteman, when my ancestors lived in peace with the land.
When would you NOT liked to have lived?
MassHysteria
05-22-2010, 05:16 PM
@Dru: I think about this a lot. I would have been born in the early to mid 1950's here in America. God, when I think of all the cool stuff I missed out on... Bah.
@Cooper: Medieval Europe. For every single reason.
If you could go behind the scenes on one movie/TV show, which one would it be and why?
Cooper
05-22-2010, 05:29 PM
None. Been there, done that. Its fun at first, but then it is a huge pain in the ass.
Same Q
none.
what is your favorite time of year and why?
Cooper
05-22-2010, 06:19 PM
Fall. I love the feel and smell, the crisp air, warm days and cool nights.
Same Q and then your least favorite
early summer. everything is bright, warm - but not too warm, and pretty. there are plenty of butterflies, but not to many mosquitoes yet, and on top of a burst of new, green foliage there are still flowering plants in bloom. it's the perfect time of year! :cheesy:
my least favorite is winter, all around. from late fall to early spring, everything is just dismal.

Worst climate you have lived in?
Cooper
05-22-2010, 06:38 PM
That is hard to say...I like winter here because of the monster wind storms. The summers are nice, not too hot but warm. Spring is a little wet around here, but all in all I like it.
Do you like to go to the beach? If so, what do you do there?
i love to; lay in the sun, swim, check people out. the usual.
where would your ideal vacation be?
Cooper
05-22-2010, 06:46 PM
Oh, wow...thats tough...a private island in the Caribbean would be nice.
Same Q
same answer. or, alternately, a couple of weeks touring the pubs of ireland, and trying the local beverages out. :nice:
what facial feature[s] is a big turn on for you?
Cooper
05-22-2010, 07:00 PM
Gotta be the eyes....so much can be said with them.
As lazy as it is....same Q 'cuz its good
mostly the eyes, but if someone's got a really nice mouth then that, too, will unabashedly draw my eye. nice mouths are a little harder to come across, IMO.
hm... do you use any social networking sites (facebook, myspace, twitter, etc)?

Ehm....most fairytales don't end with "happily ever after" and ehm....."Twilight" isn't a fairy tale. I'd be Puss in Boots, because of the strategic thinking and the mystery he is surrounded with despite the air of openness he conveys to others.

aulophobia - fear of flutes. flutes seem easy enough to avoid.

reiven
05-23-2010, 08:53 AM
anytime i get emotional it is uncharacteristically so. :)
but yes, i think i store up emotional pressure, and sometimes i can vent it at will.
same?
when i'm under a lot of stress. i become a lot more sensitive, which is what leads to my being emotional.

do you / could you enjoy opera?
no. my mother used to listen to it in the car all the time, it drove me absolutely insane.
have you ever been in a fight/when?
reiven
05-23-2010, 09:07 AM
twice (back in high school days) i tried to use humor to diffuse a situation between two other people and ended up fighting the bully. one ended well for me. the other, not so much.
were you a fighter?
Valhalla
05-23-2010, 09:14 AM
Not the physical type.
How do you handle a situation where you know you should probably be diplomatic and/or empathic, but simply *do not feel* like acting in that fashion since the situation is comprised of a heap of nonsense that should be simply exterminated?
rieven: when i was young. never been in a fight with a girl though.
val: i would probably tersely ask the other person to get to the point, or inform them that i don't have time for them, and move on.
have you ever had any bones broken?
reiven
05-23-2010, 09:21 AM
@ val
people who know me understand that empathy is not a natural expression for me and give me latitude. as far as diplomacy, it's usually clear which response will cause the best result.
@ dru
i've only broken one bone, the one that holds my right eyeball into place. i didn't know there was such a bone, evidently i healed well (15 yrs ago) because there's no evidence my eyeball is falling into my brain :p
i want to continue valhalla's question
then i'll elaborate; very few times in my life (i can probably count them on one hand) have i been in a situation where i completely lost my cool. discounting of course early puberty and childhood, because i was very different then.

14-18 hours. It was when I had my phase of sleeping 2 hours a night, getting *a lot* of work done and feeling really sharp and awake, beneath such soily needs such as "sleeping". Yah, until three weeks later, when I took a nap....only to wake up the next day.

Lawns as a part of a garden, needn't bee too kept, the same way a garden shouldn't be too kept(order in chaos, so to speak: better for the bees as well, since it gives them the opportunity to make a "hive" of their own).
