That my next question is going to be "What's the last thing you ate?" and that my answer would be, "I'm currently sucking on a sugar daddy" and how wrong that sounds, lol.

What's the last thing you ate?

Kit kat.

What are you having for dinner?

Synamon
11-13-2008, 02:46 PM
Lindt 70% dark chocolate dipped in crunchy peanut butter. Ok not the most nutritious lunch.

For dinner I'll make myself a spinach omelette.

What is your favorite pie?

Nikita
11-13-2008, 02:46 PM
Dinner: No idea.

Pie: not so crazy about pie, but I like the fruit fillings, apple and cherry

What's the last thing you do before you go to bed at night?

Wapiti

Close my eyes.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up? (besides open your eyes)

Nikita
11-13-2008, 02:50 PM
I usually bargain with myself about whether I can sleep longer if I decide to skip breakfast or something. Ultimately I usually decide the extra 10 minutes wouldn't be worth the stress of possibly being late.

How often were you grounded as a child?

Synamon
11-13-2008, 04:07 PM
It would be easier to count how often I wasn't grounded. I spent a LOT of time in my room.

Have you ever been spanked?

Nikita
11-13-2008, 04:08 PM
Oh yeah, more times than I can count...last spanking was when I was 13, it was always by hand.

Did you like coloring books as a kid? If so, what was your coloring style?

Golbez

when you fail at something you care about, how long do you spend 'in the dumps'?

Nikita
11-13-2008, 07:02 PM
Close my eyes.
You close your eyes before you go to bed? So you actually walk to your bed with your eyes closed...?

Weird things parents made if in hurry: Spaghettios or Waffles, not that weird

In the dumps - months sometimes, but even though I'm upset, I'm still working to fix it or get the next thing done...I still manage to be productive

Which news programs do you watch?

Wapiti
11-13-2008, 08:53 PM
None, absolutely none, they all suck. With the exception of John Stuart and the Colbert report - but are those shows really news? But then again are the "news" shows really news shows? I prefer to google whatever I want to see, it's quicker and no hype.

How frequently do you go to the grocery store, once a week, once a month,.....?

Synamon

They are both prisons (nothing to read), so I'd pick the island because I could go swimming. Maybe drown myself if it got to be too much.

What is your favorite quote from a book?

LionsPride
11-14-2008, 03:25 PM
I have to say almost anything from the Douglas Adams trilogy. One of my favourites has always been this:

The Universe-- some information to help you live in it.
1 AREA: Infinite
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy offers this definition of the word "Infinite"
Infinite: Bigger than the biggest thing and then some. Much bigger than that in fact, really amazingly immense, a totally stunning size, real "wow, that's big," time. Infinity is just so big that, by comparison, bigness itself looks really titchy. Gigantic multiplied by colossal multiplied by staggeringly huge is the sort of concept we're trying to get across here.
2 IMPORTS: None
It is impossible to import things into an infinite area, there being no outside to import things from.
3 EXPORTS: None
See Imports
4 POPULATION: None
It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.
5 MONETARY UNITS: None
In fact there are three freely convertible currencies in the Galaxy, but none of them count. The Altairian Dollar has recently collapsed, the Flainian Pobble Bead is only exchangable for other Flainian Pobble Beads, and the Triganic Pu has its own very special problems. Its exchange rate of eight Ningis to one Pu is simple enough, but since a Ningi is a triangular rubber coin six thousand eight hundred miles along each side, no one has ever collected enough to own one Pu.Ningis are not negotiable currency, because the Galictibanks refuse to deal in fiddling small change. From this basic premise it is very simple to prove that the Galactibanks are also the product of a deranged imagination.
6 ART: None
The function of art is to hold the mirror up to nature, and there simply isn't a mirror big enough-- see point one.
7 SEX: None
Well, in fact there is an awful lot of this, largely because of the total lack of money, trades, banks, art or anything else that might keep all the nonexistent people of the Universe occupied.
However, it is not worth embarking on a long discussion of it now because it really is terribly complicated. For further information see Guide Chapters seven, nine, ten, eleven, fourteen, sixteen, seventeen, nineteen, twenty-one to eighty-four inclusive, and in fact most of the rest of the Guide.

I love lots of quotes from books. This one just sprang to mind.

Nikita
11-14-2008, 10:10 PM
Yes, former college roommate. She used to urinate on the toilet seat without cleaning it off. When I quietly put up a sign that read, "If you sprinke when you tinkle, be a sweetie, wipe the seaty," she went crying to her on-campus "big sister" and proceeded with a flame war on the dorm room's message board, thereby making it public and trying to turn everyone else against me for telling them she peed on the seat, when it was her own actions that made the scene public.

What is the nicest thing you have done for a complete stranger? (I'm assuming you've done such a thing.)

LionsPride
11-15-2008, 01:41 PM
I don't know. I have done nice things for strangers, but the value of the deed is entirely within their own mind and, being complete strangers, I wouldn't be privy to that knowledge.

I was a head of an organization that mentored teenagers and through my involvement, I'd like to think that I made many feel good about themselves and gave them a place they felt they belonged to. I was, er, rather intimidating for them so while they may have liked me, few felt able to talk with me so, in that respect, they remained complete strangers.

How old were you when you had your first real kiss?

I "French-kissed" my best friend's sister when I was like 7. We did that for about a week or two and we also got "married".

Neighborhood kids would watch us; apparently we were good at it. It all stopped though, when her mom found out. lol.

I saw her about 4 years ago when we were 25 and there was this weirdness, like an unspoken "hey remember when we used to make out in the woods?" lol. Good times!

After that...a long dry spell and I wouldn't say I had another meaningful kiss until I was 18.

Nikita
11-18-2008, 08:53 PM
I honestly don't know. If I had to guess I'd say back when I was still in a walker. Apparently I used to zoom around the house laughing and screaming. My mom doesn't understand how I knew to stop at the thresholds of the doorways where there was an extra piece of wood, but I would stop, lift up the walker, cross the threshold, and then resume the zoom. (And considering I started walking at 9 months old, this was at a pretty young age.)

2. Torn Meniscus, Got heelhooked and refused to tap out. Stupid mistake, Could not walk at all for 2 weeks, and the whole thing took over a year to really "heal"...My left leg is still far more vulnerable to submissions than my right due to the inability to heal completely...

Your worst injury?

in response to below: you have my sympathy.

Nikita
11-18-2008, 09:25 PM
1. fell onto/"kissed" a radiator as a baby (one and a half), busted open my lip/face and had to have plastic surgery to prevent disfigurement
2. broken leg, severely sprained ankle, and permanently messed up knee from a car accident (I was 16 - all of this was on the same leg) - the docs didn't give me a cast or crutches, I walked around on a broken leg wearing only an air cast for months - before that no one at school had ever seen me cry, but I couldn't help it, the pain would be so bad that I'd just start crying in my classes
3. multiple breaks and sprains have permeated my life since I was one and a half (yes, managed to break my arm while the stitches from the lip injury were still in my face...bright blue stitches)...back and neck are currently injured from another car accident I've already mentioned earlier in this thread

MacGuffin
11-18-2008, 09:53 PM
Describe your bedroom from when you were a little kid (your favorite one if you had more than one).

There are three features I remember most from my first bedroom:

The closet was a half-closet, to allow room for the stairs into the basement. The bottom half was boxed out and carpeted, so as a kid I'd climb up onto it to get to my toys in the upper half.

My grandfather was a Marine Corps. pilot and retired shortly before I was born. He made model airplanes and they were hung from the ceiling. They survived until my youngest brother came along. One day he and his best friend smashed them all with wiffle ball bats.

The corner of the bedroom was where the kid who lived before me would pee into it at night. It was fine until you spilled water in that corner, and then the smell came out. P U!

Describe your current bedroom: Books? TV? Messy? Orderly?

Describe your current bedroom: Books? TV? Messy? Orderly?

A little bit of messy and clean. A TV that I haven't touched in nearly three years. Boxes filled with books and magazines. Shelves filled with the same, plus my video game stash whose titles I keep in alphabetical order. Coats on the floor when they should be in the closet on a hanger.

What is your favorite kind of wine?

Nikita
11-18-2008, 09:58 PM
Books, papers, luggage and boxes everywhere, there's a TV that doesn't belong to me unplugged and topped with books and papers, a twin bed with only a fitted sheet, 2 pillows, and a thin blanket on top, luggage serves as clothing and other storage as well as night stand...i have about a foot of closet space with about 3 items hung up in there - colors are white (walls), brown (floors), red and black (luggage). It's a temporary residence, and most of my stuff is in storage. It's messy right now, I'll be bringing order to it this weekend. I'm not so good with "order." But there is a path from the door to the bed, that's the most important part. Oh, and I have a random slab of marble that I've been moving with me from place to place.

wine - i rarely drink, but Merlot would probably top that list

As this is the start of Page 69, what sorts of fetishes do you have?

Using the clinical definition (need something outside the norm for arousal), I don't have any. Which is different from being kinky on occasion. (Plus we are far from page 69 for me).

and y?

Uberfuhrer

Supervisor, because it sounds more powerful than manager. (I always thought a supervisor was to manager the way administrator was to moderator.)

Do you think indigenous people should be considered human?

rahdam

By definition, all homo sapiens are human.

Supposing we encounter aliens at some point in the future, who do you think will be militarily superior: us or them?

Them. Because they have the technology for interplanetary travel. Quantity is irrelevant.

Should indigenous people be considered Homo sapiens or something more primitive?

rahdam

if they can reproduce with homo sapeins, they are by definition homo sapiens.

What if we happen to find the aliens first by our own interplanetary travel?

How many computers do you have total?

Wapiti
11-20-2008, 01:29 PM
I currently have 7 that are up and running and a laptop that I can think of. Then I've also got a work laptop. Then there's the scrap heap, with several systems and monitors and older laptops. I don't have an exact count but way too many.

Yes, I'm careful with the cotton swab. I have jabbed my ear drum before and it really hurt.

Going around...talking to people...identifying what's missing from their lives...fill the void with smartly, creatively brainstormed solutions and for the betterment of EVERYONE involved...let smart ideas with practical application SPREAD LIKE WILDFAYUR!!! that i get to start :D

How would your experience on a 5 day camping trip pan out if you were by yourself and just had the bare necessities?

Nikita
11-21-2008, 12:08 AM
I think it'd pan out just fine, it'd be an adventure! I'd practice trying to start a fire without matches, see if I could catch fish with my bare hands, make a makeshift pole when/if that fails, and just try and have fun with it. Though I can say with utter certainty that I would enjoy a hot shower and a soft bed upon returning home.

What is your least favorite "chore" to do?

hullolife
11-21-2008, 12:11 AM
I like cleaning once I start. I HATE TIDYING UP! What is the point of THAT...blah
Although I temporarily indulge in order, I soon realize that I like when half of my room is color coded and then on top of it sits a heap of random clothes...lol

Post-apocalyptic plains oddly covered in a carpet of dog hairs

Nikita
11-21-2008, 12:16 AM

How many email addresses do you have?

hullolife
11-21-2008, 12:18 AM
fold and hang...then only when I need to wear that collared shirt do I actually iron it. :D

I have...four. I swear you asked this before...or I did! lol

Do you use a catch all email? Gmail? :D

Nikita
11-21-2008, 12:22 AM
(if it was asked before it wasn't by me, though it wouldn't surprise me if it had been asked before!)

sort of, i have one email i check more than others, but i have 3 work-related emails, one email for my grandmother to send all of her "fun" emails to (the jokes, chain mail, etc.), one i use for buddhism quotes (which has about 200 unread at the moment, lol), about 7 that i send spam to or use to sign up on random sites with, about 10-12 yahoo, ymail, or rocketmail accounts...and some others i just never check or use at all

What are your thoughts on necrophilia?

Nikita
11-21-2008, 08:26 AM
I personally think it's disgusting, but wouldn't be surprised if some morticians have overcome the disgust. It makes me think of Ed Gein.
