I'm new. This is an introductions area. So here I am due to a not very interesting string of events.
I used to think I was just weird. While I don't believe completely in personality "stereotyping," I pretty much fit the description of a typical INTJ. Anyway, you can call me Jay. I'm female. I also have way more male friends than I do female friends. Girls typically tend to annoy me. Not all of them, but the majority.
I'm in college for Visual Communications Design. Not to be confused/mistaken as a Fine Artist. Seriously, there's a big difference between the two. I don't "paint my feelings," I solve problems and come up with solutions. In my spare time I also do computer programming... mainly in Java, though my focus right now is on web development - PHP, JavaScript, and the like.
As a result, most of my friends are either in Computer Science, or are Engineers. I tend to get along pretty well with those types. My boyfriend is also in Computer Science. Which is nice... since he knows what I'm talking about most of the time.
I think that being an INTJ has made me very ah... picky about who my friends are. I recently had a falling out with my best friend of 6 years. She was more of a feeling type and we'd clash a lot. We got along great and had a few similar interests, but ultimately I think that I just wasn't supportive enough for her. At least, not on the level she was wanting. I'm still determined to fix things between us, but it's been a year now and I keep getting the feeling that I should just let it be.
Haha. Hi. So that's my life in a nutshell of sorts. Or maybe in an ostrich egg. I don't really know. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you though. Maybe I can make this one of my regular haunts. Who knows.
