I am one of those rarified INTJ females the world is perplexed by. I've always felt that meeting another female like me was a bit like spotting a unicorn and now I've found a whole herd of 'em ; ) Anyway- new here to the forum. Just wanted to introduce myself. A bit about myself- I'm a programmer, I love reading, gardening, cooking, music, video games. I'm married to an ENTJ. He finds it entertaining to watch me disappear into my head and see all of the emotions flit across my face as I play around in my own mind. I also enjoy switching around words like Scrubbing Bubbles in my head while people talk at me and mistake me for listening...Scribbing Bibbles, Babbing Scrabbles, Bobbing Scrobbles...what, I'm sorry I wasn't listening followed with a "What do you think they would call a creature that is a cross between a mermaid and a unicorn?" They look at me strangely as it was so off topic, but it doesn't matter because I'm back in my head figuring out JUST what you would call it (I think it might be a Mernicorn, personally).

Thanks for the welcome! I'll supress my INTJ-ness about being told to awe someone I just met since you are well over 12,000 posts ; ) Sorry, minimal snark is about the best I can do sometimes. Never-the-less, glad to have found a group of people who can contingency plan like nobody's business! So, with that, I'll shut-it and sit in awe for a bit.

Let's see...dinner. Espadrille, tonight's menu is lamb marinated in herbs de Provance, olive oil, and a dash of garlic salt. I'm trying real artichokes with some thyme butter and for after dinner I made a blackberry pie. And as to the narwhal- we didn't miss it. Narwhals are what happens when you cross a whale with a unicorn...duh ; )

Beware the runcible spoon! And it might be best to keep an eye out for frumious bandersnatches while you're at it.

Welcome to the forum. I like your avatar.

Thanks, OwenF. I've always loved Alice in Wonderland, and the song "In a World of my Own" has always (pun alert) struck a chord with me. Tehe- maybe it is an INTJ thing to like the made-up nonsense things. We see things from a unique perspective and can see how they do and should fit together, albeit in a most unusual way. My ENTJ husband gets a laugh outta my made-up words. Feel free to use it, but I'll say I'm feeling droobly (droopy and wobbly). When I have a hangover, I feel droobly. If I'm getting sick, I'm feeling droobly.

Thanks for the new portmanteau word! A few of them together make for a stay-at-home vacation. :)

Welcome to the forum, I like your name and avatar.

I often use a dull spoon to cut my veins open when people are frustrating me.

I was first worried if the white rabbit is after your carrot nose, but then I realized you can always grow it back. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyE4CLM0QIA&feature=fvwrel)

hey... narwal's have feelings too.

besides, mermaids are REALLY manatees, and narwals are pretty close to manitees so there!

Q: what do you get when you cross an octopus with a duck?
A: a duck that stays safely camouflaged by the side of the road until it's safe to cross

---------- Post added 05-31-2012 at 02:02 AM ----------

and EVERYONE says ductopus

EDIT: oh, that quote integration widget is ergo

A: nothing but drumsticks
A: a duck that makes wet f#rting sounds as it walks on your cieling
A: why would you even want to try?
A: really freaked out kids at feeding ponds everywhere
A: whatever it is, i bet it has a beak
A: whatever it is, you're the one giving it a bath
A: quills with ink already in them

BOOO! *ack ack ack*

A: a really bad CGI remake of the birds
*ack ack ack ack*

Haha- I love terrible jokes! You would have a new pool game though. Duck, duck, pus. You tag 8 people at once and they all try to eat up the floating bread chunks before someone in the mush pot lets out the inevitable ink jet....which also makes me think that if there were such a thing as a ductopus- it would turn the decoy duck world on its ear. At any rate, I'm sure we can all be glad that 1. ductopie (plural?) aren't real 2. They don't fly. Incidentally, I think ductopie is not only a plural form but also the traditional way of serving this for dinner. It would just be silly to call it ductopie pie : )

Welcome, Dull Spoon.

Unimaids are very useful though. But I vote mernicorn as well since "unimaid" is just what they call mail-order brides in Russia.
