I spend a great deal of my time working on my home. As it is relatively hard to take them with me to show people, I take pictures. Anyone is welcome to post theirs here as well!!

For starters I am almost done with a recent bathroom remodel. There is of course a cause behind having to do it, but home projects always expand from a single point and take over the house!

Here are a couple of the bathroom in process:

After realizing the new vanity didn't match the outline of the existing tile walls or floors...don't ask! The previous owners tiled AROUND all existing fixtures!

Now after buying the new vanity and toilet, and testing it, the realization that the existing 1 1/2 " concrete, tile, metal mesh all atop an existing laminate floor was no longer "fitting" it's destruction commenced. This is halfway through....

Now on to putting everything back to gether. But what can I do to improve it even more? Put in recessed shelves and toilet paper holder! Eureka! Now it really is the library!! (trim work still in progress!)

Tearing into a remodel, it's usually the case that one thing leads to another.

We recently put down new flooring in the kitchen and two entries. And we are one new counter top away from a completely flipped kitchen (did the kitchen myself). Scheduled for this fall--replace a bow window and a picture window and new siding on the whole house. But since, in my case, paying a contractor is cheaper than the cost of physical pain, I propose that the extent of my involvement in a project of that size will be writing checks.

Sorry, pal, but I don't take pictures in the process. I just get it done.

My old boss would talk about the cars he was building, or the projects his wife had him doing...after awhile he relented and had his son start taking pictures! Well....

I'm currently in a rental so I have to resist the urge to do renovation projects. It looks like my shower has overflowed at some point and the drywall and trim around it needs to be redone. This drives me crazy every time I go into my bathroom. Hopefully I'll be moving into a new home pretty soon so then I can do anything I want. The one I'm looking at has an unfinished daylight basement which will be awesome once I'm through with it. :D
