Cybernetics weather you like it or not is forging a new face for the human race but yet its a VERY quiet subject every where.
What do any of you know about it? Also what would you do with it?

Make my own Army and over throw the world duh....
No I would use it to make humans day to day life to were you only have to sit in a chair and command the robot to do things.
By the way is cybernetics even robots? Or have I just posted some thing totally use less?

My work uses aspects of this technology to construct systems that automate aspects of human reasoning to provide help to human users.
There are lots of things that machines do well that humans don't, such as rapidly assessing large quantities of data for "interestingness".
When a human user is looking for the "needle in the haystack", the systems I build suggest to the human where they should start looking, what they are likely to find there, and why they should care.
This becomes real challenging when things change in unpredictable ways, or the human decides they want to solve a different problem. In these cases, the machine has to be able to modify itself so that it can continue to be useful without requiring redesign.
There are many articles discussing projections that in the coming decades/centuries cybernetic implants used for enhancement of senses and abillities will be quite commonplace. I find this very cool.
Cybernetics and its applications are one of the few things I'm truly "passionate" about. Sometime when I'm in the mood for it I'll compile a super list of news sources.
