I don't know my blood type. Therefore I voted robot. [smiley=alien.gif]
And I *highly highly* doubt it.
Blood's function is to carry oxygen. It doesn't have any genetic material in it or anything that would determine personality.

I've actually had a friend make a comment like that once while I was driving. "Dude, you're like a robot".
But yes, blood's primary function is to carry oxygen and lymphocytes. Which is why I decided to make my own mixture from liquid oxygen(which I condensed with a vacuum cleaner, and a fruit dehydrator that I reversed the polarity on), and my own special mixture of tomato paste and janitorial sanitizing chemicals!
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of common vulcan gene found exclusively in INTJ's.

Actually there is empirical evidence on this subject:
According to Dr. McCoy, Vulcan blood is based on copper (as opposed to iron in human blood), and that is why it is green, This also accounts for Vulcan skin being yellow.

Aliens have blood but the type is unknown and you forgot to put that in your poll and this gets them very upset!!
Interesting poll. One thing I have learned from living in Korea is that it is popular here to belive that your blood type determines your personality, similar to horoscopes. I've had several people ask me what my blood type is and then smile and nod after I tell that I'm O-. They've told me that it's a good type, whatever that is supposed to mean.

.."The results produced 13 significant differences at a confidence interval of p<0.05 and 11 at p<0.01, the most conclusive finding occurring in the association between the P blood group system and anxiety."
They link it to personality traits which is different to types... by my understanding. Sure certain types might have similar traits but I highly you'd get anything statisicly significant by trying to box types into even smaller boxes via specific traits...
And as for Horoscopes have you ever tried reading one that wasn't yours and applying it to your life? its worked for me.. so as far as I can tell its about as valid as someone guessing your past and future by purely asking enough general questions and reading your reactions.

I was reading about blood type and personality a few days ago. I think it is all bogus but it brought up an interesting website that had the blood type distribution according to nationality. In the US the predominant blood type is O while A and B blood types are found frequently in East Asian countries. AB across the board is the rarest. The Japanese think that AB is the least desirable blood type because you are neither wholly A or B -- so your personality would be moody and rebellious. Interesting that there are so many AB blood type here.
The whole blood type and personality thing is kind of interesting. It came up in the early 1900s in reaction to western scientists trying to make a distinction between Europeans and Asians (Japanese). Guess who was inferior? So anyway the blood type and personality thing caught on in Japan, with A and B being the preferable blood types. Anyway, I don't know what my blood type is. I tried to give blood to find out but they turned me away for not weighing enough.

i hate to be anal about this, but you would have to take into account what percentage of the INTJ forum voted. Then you would have to note what the percentage is of INTJs in the general population. You would also have to compare that percentage to the number of INTJs that are members of this forum. Then you would have to see what the spread of blood types is throughout the general population.

Type A
We have way too many people with AB, even if you took the last two and put them in O and A we shouldn't have anywhere near that high a percentage of AB. B is also too high in our sampling.
Maybe we're dramatically more likely to be found among people with B and AB blood types.

Just wondering if INTJ's tend toward a specific blood type.
(hehe) I doubt any INTJs tend toward a blood type; that would suggest we choose/ prefer a specific blood type. Also, seeing as there is no link between blood type and personality, you might not reach your desired conclusion.
However!! Will be interesting to see how blood type (particularly the less common blood types) exist on the board, in general....just for funzies!

Also known as the Barnum (or Forer) Effect. All horoscopes use Barnum statements so readers are satisfied with the results.

Or maybe people with AB are more likely to know so, as the type is rarer. A doctor may be more likely to tell the person without their asking if it were AB because it is more special and interesting. Therefore, those of us who do not know more likely have a more common blood type but don't vote because we don't know our type.

you can go donate blood and they will tell you your type (blood, not MBTI), as well as give you the opportunity to help save someone's life. You'll never know if you do, so you can just assume. Takes about an hour. By the time you get screened for mad cow disease and the various doses, you'll find the needle jab a relief.

Relief is the last thing I'll have when I a nurse pulls out a needle.

Blood type is a genetic function, right? (I'm not sure about that.)
It's already been established that people with INTJ tendencies have more blood flow in certain parts of their brains than others. I don't think the blood type would really be relevant, but Id like to know more about it.
