Why is there no 3-D generated avatars for user identification in any Forum?

The question is perhaps, if you want a 3D generated avatar, why haven't you created it yourself?

That is a fine question. I would if i could. . .

I can create 3D avatars of geometric forms. Would anyone be interested in seeing some samples? If there is interest, I can whomp a few up. It's just a little math....

Are you really saying, "I want an excuse to fiddle around on my computer"? Because if so, then I would be interested seeing some 3D sample avatars, even though I have no intention of changing mine. And also, you don't need an excuse to fiddle around on your computer.

Ah, you've blown my cover.
I guess I'll have to fiddle around on my computer now....

Yes that would be great. If its not to much to ask, could you tell me how you do so as well?

Let me introduce the two of you...

Well, I made a couple of 3D avatars last night, but when I shrank them down to 115 x 145, they lost much of their impact. So I'm going to work on that. I think I tried to put too much detail in, and it got lost when I resized the image.

What are the size requirements for 3-D avatars? Maybe 115 x 145 x 130?

Hee! Hee! You are a funny cowboy.
I've thought about three ways to do this:
1.) two stereo images. This probably won't work because of the aspect ratio (image is narrower than it is tall).
2.) red-blue glasses image. I'll make some of these.
3.) Surd images ("magic eye" stuff). I've written software to create these.

And here I was thinking the intention was just for some 3D geometric shapes...
Anyways, I believe I've been misinterpreted. The mods can be pretty busy doing other stuff, but, if you do want a particular image as an avatar but aren't able to edit it to a suitable size yourself then you should post the image in this forum and somebody should be able to do if for you.
Basically, if you know what you have in mind, lets see it... and some other posters I'm sure will be able to do the rest.

If we were allowed animated Gif avatars I would fool with it.

Math is one way, you can also create stuff using modeling programs. Blender (http://www.blender.org) is free to use and covers pretty much anything you could imagine. Like anything that's really cool, it takes a lot of practice.
