I'll read some of these - wiki, because I love it; anything on careers, and most of the links on relationships, because maybe I'll find that unnameable part of me that continues to cause me consternation. Alliteration (and rhyming) for the win.

Hmm...Maybe I should start building another friend. One of my other ones is going on the fritz from a combo of jet lag and working early in the morning while maintaining night owl status. Silly ISTJ that he is....
Working early is most definitley not awesome. I can't remember the last time I went to sleep before the sun came up either :/. Does that make me an ISTJ :(

*chuckle* That explains how I ended up married to an INTP. Seriously, we only saw each other for about 5-8 hours a week for a majority of the 4yrs we dated, heh.

Yeah, in my typical INTJ mode I was actually quite impressed that the police could consider INTJ's to be effective mass murderers... as it proves two aspects
1) We are more efficient and better at escaping than other "types" Hooray!!!!!!
2) That the police don’t have many INTJ's working there... [smiley=dunce.gif]

I just took that test, it showed me as an ISTJ, with the caveat that the S was 1% dominant, or something. I guess I go back and forth. Of course, I also think that going into any of those tests now I will consciously or unconsciously try to score what I think I should, so I'm not sure how well it will work.

Did you read the ISTJ description? Does it fit? I don't think it sounds like you. Read this: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Based on what I know about you, I would guess if you don't have the INTJ personality, your next closest types might be INTP (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. And I agree... once you know what the questions are getting at, you can get any result you want.

Its pretty old now but its still going and he has a book out that I haven't read... anyway, I had a thought he might type as an INTJ so I emailed him the other day and asked him to take the Jung test. Hopefully he will but I added if he wants he should rip into the whole personality profiling thing as I'd no doubt find it funny... so yes, now I'm waiting for a response.
Some random topics he covers include
"The iPhone is a piece of shit, and so is your face. "
"How do you dumbasses manage to breathe? "
"How to spot a pedophile. "
"Five shitty movies that everyone loves. " etc..

To put it plainly, because the type descriptions are almost universally done by an N, the S type descriptions almost always don't capture the positive facets of being a sensor. It looks inferior. I wouldn't identify with a lot of the S type descriptions if I was a sensor, because they are done poorly.
murraystate is generally considered the best resource for type descriptions. (google it with the four letters to find them)

did anyone else read the policeone.com article (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) and think the woman who wrote it was just horrid?
i thought the overall tone of this article was pretty snarky. nothing wrong with that, generally, but i think it's a really crappy attitude to adopt when trying to teach.

INTJs can also be highly insulted if someone dares question their ideas or principles, because they are convinced of the "rightness" of their beliefs.
That. Is. A. Lie. At least for me. I welcome challenges and in my opinion, I'm never a sore loser.

That policeone lady seems pretty stupid. Her whole article is about generalizing 1 of the 16 types, and likening them to a psychopath, then at the end she covers her tracks by saying "blah blah these are general blah blah"
If we met face-to-face, I'd have a right mind to bury her in my backyard.
Like 5% of what she wrote was accurate and worthy of reading. (The stuff about us being unusually smart, and well-hung).

I think most descriptions underestimate the Ni aspect of the INTJ. Even though we are clearly rationals, we don't start out with thinking, but with intuition, a much more irrational, even random process. I suppose that Te gets more attention because it's more visible.
Here is an interesting page on introverted intuition: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I like this description: "Introverted Intuitions are not really ideas. They're like trains at the edge of articulated knowledge. You can't claim them or advocate them. You put on a hat, grab hold of a boxcar door, and see where they go."

The INTJ's combination of analyticial problem-solving skills and complete and utter disregard for the morality or consequences of his actions also make him ideal for the job of hatchet man, CIA operative, and helpdesk operator.

That same site with ENTJ under stress has me nailed. Probably the most personally accurate ENTJ writeup I've seen. Others I fit partly into (as we all do), but this one really just is dead on.

And the OKCupid one is pretty much me in a cartoon! ;D
I always tend to fit into INTJ, INTP, and ENTP, but not so much with the ENTJ. That's the weird thing about ENTJ, of all the NT types, non-ENTJ NTs tend not to identify with the ENTJ as much as the other NTs.
My Ni dominance also leads me to identify with the INFJ type, somewhat -- when I interact with others, I often adopt their opinions and take them as my own...partially why I've become a recluse, because I don't want others influencing my thinking.

This site has excellent profiles, but it seems like she took it down some 3 years ago. The non-INTJ profiles (I didn't check for all of them, mind you) seem to not be on Google's cache. However, they're still archived at To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. if you put in "carolcraig.co.uk" into the "Wayback Machine" and try a 2005 archive.
One of the things that makes archiving their profiles a bit tricky is that they're set in images, which means google's cache probably didn't store them.
