Jean Paul Sartre

You scored a 83 in Existential wisdom!

This is the highest grade possible, which means you know your way around existence. You may be an ugly bug eyed bastard, but you'll most likely get to spend the large majority of your life giving sweet sweet lovin to one of the hottest and most intelligent women to come out of France this century.

You scored a 74 in Existential wisdom!

This is the second highest category for the Existential Test, so close and yet so far away. You know more than most about existential ideas, but only enough to criticize others. Why is your sister such a royal bitch?

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I scored 50. Of all the names mentioned in the test, I did not recognise even a single one. But this is not to mean that I am not interested in philosophy. This is a test from OkCupid designed under informal settings so I'm not giving it much credence.

The funny thing is that I do not know much for existentialism (I know a few things), it's just that during the previous week I read When Nietzsche Wept (for the 3rd time), a small book for the essentials on Froyd and the wikipedia page for Jean Paul Sartre. So I knew most of the names.

I've only recently become more interested in philosophy..

To be fair, the names mentioned are extremely prominent in contemporary philosophy.

The enumeration of prominent figures does not necessarily equate to any credibility. Simply knowing the philosopher does not mean one will know the work.

What I meant to say was: the author seems to know what he's talking about. Either that, or he/she and I share a very similar misunderstanding.

OK, whatever! And out of curiosity...why are there so many quizzes from okcupid? Really? This is our source of measure?
