Where does your preference fall? Does the thick cloying sweetness of whatever get your mouth watering? Do you ever crave the mouth puckering sting of sour? Is it a combination of both? Do you have a favorite sour flavor? Since we have talked about our favorite sweet how about your favorite sour.

I love sweet and sour sauce. Where do I fall?
Actually I've got a bit of a sweet tooth. I'm addicted to honey.

Sweet, always sweet. I really don't like sour tastes. I think sweet and sour sauce is probably the furthest I'll go.

I am squarely on the "sweet side", no sours for me!

I like lemonade, but not sour candies. I like sweet candies, but no carmel and butterscotch stuff. So I'm pretty medium.

Both. Usually both at the same time. Sour Jelly Bellies FTW!

I like sweet stuff. Sour... not really.

Sweet all the way. Sour makes me pucker and I don't like to pucker.

Both. But I think sweet wins out. ;D

I do not like too much sweetness and I have a tendency to prefer sour. For example in fruits I like them to be unripe not mellow. I prefer green apples than red, nectarines than peaches, almost green bananas, cherries that are not so red and so on.
I love lemon, I use too much in my food, I pour it in cheese, if we do not have sauce I pour it in rice, in the past I poured it in French fries.
However I can not say that I prefer much more sour than sweet, it's more a tendency.

Please use a scale of 1-10 for your prefrence.
At this point there is no useable data.
Thank you, have a nice day:)

Sour, but I prefer a constant sour-sweet-salty rotation.

If I have to use a 1-10 scale I would say I like sour at a 7 and sweet at an 8.

I like them both, and salt too, but what I really like is the spicy stuff. Chili peppers and chicken wings and the kind of hot sauce that could kill a man.

Well, I can feel "sour" just by reading your description, but sweet is a bit less challenging to the old taste buds.

Neither. Sweet isn't to my taste, but neither is sour.

I do love my sweets but in general I enjoy sour, I go for sour gum or sour candies, when I was young I would eat a grass from the field I don't know the name of it we just called it sour grass, it was like a sour pixie stix. I also (I know it was stupid now) use to dip my fingers in old car batteries that had been dead for years and enjoy that bitter taste I don't know of any one else that did this, but what can I say I was a kid, I didn't know what acid was.

So that explains it. :p
Speaking of dumb things, a few months ago I rubbed my eye after cutting up some habanero peppers. That was a wild ride, I tell ya.

I love sour things. Vinegar, sour candy, yogurt, lemons, limes, anything with an acidic "bite" to it. Sweet with no sour is incredibly dull.

I like anything extremely sour and/or bitter, and can tolerate (and like) a lot of spiciness.
Sour is good.
Mint also rocks, I love the feeling of my mouth being cold.
I am also known for eating limes and drinking lime juice. Not limeade, but lime juice straight from the bottle.

That's just idiocy, man. But those things are really good in spagetti sauce. Wapow!

sweet. I love chinese buffets.. sweet sour chicken, stuff like that.
Also like to use miracle fruit tablets dissolved on my tongue to make otherwise mundane oranges, grapefruit, clementines, watermelon, etc. taste fabulous.
I love food in general, though. Would love to marry a cook. I'll try anything once, and there isn't much I don't like.
Raw fish, and really spicy food... that's about it.
