Here's the trailer (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) for the 6th Harry Potter film.
I must say that this trailer is very unique for a Potter film and very cleverly done. I look forward to this one.

Looks entertaining. There's also a trailer for the Wolverine movie bouncing around the net but it looks like Fox is trying hard to knock 'em down when they pop up.

Damn, I didn't realize that movie was coming out next year. I thought they said 2010.

I saw the trailer for the new Wolverine film. It's called X-MEN: ORIGINS Wolverine, I think. They showed it in Comic Con at a panel the other day. I forgot where I stumbled upon it, but I was VERY excited to see Emma Frost and Gambit! I'm more of a DC Comics fan than Marvel, but I really love the X-Men.
edit2: NEVERMIND. They took it down. :(

I may need to look at the Potter trailer again. Initially it did nothing for me. I am excited about Watchmen.

I just thought it was interesting that the trailer wasn't about Harry. It felt sort of unique that way.

Still haven't figured out why she named it "The Half-Blood Prince" when that issue wasn't nearly as important as Tom Riddle...
Oh well. Can't wait. Gotta get some more Harry gear to wear to the theatre.

Clever....but why does it remind me of Gandalf the Grey for some reason?

I know he was...but the textbook didn't belong to him... :p . The series could have been longer than 7 books... When's the encyclopedia coming out?

Interesting idea, but it could have been put together much better, I think. The start feels a little weird, and the ending doesn't quite feel right to me either.

I love the Harry Potter series. Last year I read the first 6 books in January and February. It was torture having to wait for the last book in July. When it did come in, all activities were put on hold until I read it. Wonderfull.

Tom Riddle, Severus Snape, Harry Potter: all of them Half- Bloods - Snape's mother's last name was Prince; in this book, the reader is left perplexed with Snape's true nature, intents, motives.
Sigh- there is a deep morality actually to this series; whether Rowling intended this vein to show or not, that is how i perceive her work. Long live Potter!

Now I can't wait until November, it looks really good, I just hope they don't make the film too short like they did with the last 2.

Yeah...but isnt it always the case that a movie will sacrifice detail from books....i always set my expectations low when i see a movie based on a book (that i know)....so far, though not as detailed, at least the HP movies have not diverted from the story line, nor has their been too much embellishment for media consumption. (at least that's what i think :))

Am I the only person who is slightly delighted when movies deviate from the source material a little bit? If I wanted it to be exactly like the book I'd just read the book. I've never seen a film make the leap from written material and be able to surpass what my imagination conjured while reading it.

Hi! to me it depends. A movie will gratify the senses in a different way than getting lost in the leaves of a book can....of course it's the audio-visual in movies that can certainly elevate any storyline from a written work. One's own musings though is always more personal....and if you are a book reader delighting in the play of words and what is actually going on in the characters' heasds....then from that the reading experience will always be superior.
Disney's The Little Mermaid, for example. Dont get me wrong. entertaining movie, i memorized Arielle's songs. But...she was supposed to die....become sea foam then a Spirit of the Air.....but no.....in the Disney animation...of course, she lives.....there are some changes i will tolerate for the sake of entertainment, but some deviations are at times really disappointing.
Here's my observation: I popular book is made into a movie because the storyline catches a production outfits interest, precisely , because of the story and potential profit gain....yet when it is transported to film.....changes are made to make it more "commercial" and therefore sometimes alienating the same people who would like to see the story translated to big screen.....
