So... I've been hearing my INTP, MBTI-junkie friend talk about her INTP forum for the longest time. I guess it was about time i found the one for INTJ.

I'm an introvert.
I'm intuitive.
I'm a thinker.
I'm judging.
I'm socially retarded.
I'm a perfectionist (I'm a grammar nazi);
but I'm a horrible speller.
I'm a wannabee photographer/artist.
I'm a history buff in a science major skin.
And I'm lost on a clear path.

So yeah...
Obviously I'm new to the forums, and I'm here because my INTP friend has pulled me into the whirlpool of amazing things MBTI types reveal... (and perhaps to see if all INTJ's are so throughly strange... or it's just me =/)

Before I embarass myself further... *waves and hides under desk*

Welcome to the forum, make yourself at home, and I hope you have many interesting discussions ahead of you! I think you'll have a lot in common with our members just from that list.

well considering more than half the list basically says I'm an INTJ
but you know... i didn't know what else to say... from experience, i learn that people generally feel better when you state the obvious rather than not say anything at all. =P

I like the last one on your list. Seems like life feels that way more often than not.

Notes on your list, starting after the obvious:

I'm socially retarded. I prefer the term ruthless practical.
I'm a perfectionist (I'm a grammar nazi); Details are the razor edge of results.
but I'm a horrible speller. More to life then spelling.
I'm a wannabee photographer/artist. Welcome to our growing club.
I'm a history buff in a science major skin. Everyone needs a hobby.
And I'm lost on a clear path. Path leading to where? I thought so. Here, take a machete.

There. Now that your set straight, welcome to the forum.

Ruthless practical makes me feel OH SO much better.
Details are the razor edge of results. - I don't disagree.
More to life than spelling - I'm a grammar nazi... it only seems right that I am a proficient speller. I feel a tad hypocritical that I'm DEFINATELY not.
Welcome to our growing club. - Thanks
Everyone needs a hobby. - I have much more than a hobby. And perhaps i should reword that into "I'm a history major wannabee majoring in science."
Path leading to where? - to my future of course... i can't seem to settle on numerous life decisions that I am being bombarded with right NOW... and... OOOOOHh! SHARP POINTY THING! *eyes sparkle*

If my memory serves, most highly intelligent people are bad spellers with horrible hand-writing. Ever been to a doctor's office? Some days I get scared.

Guess I'm not highly intelligent, then, since I spell fairly accurately and my handwriting is legible. * ;D

Damn. I'm a decent speller and my handwriting is extremely neat. I had OCD about forming the letters perfectly when I was learning to write (I would throw papers away and start over if I thought they looked sloppy). I'm over that, but my handwriting is still neat... however, I never learned to hold my pencil correctly.

Cato the Younger

The sloppy handwriting has something to do with the brain going too fast and the hand not being able to keep up. I can't remember what the spelling was.

Rei

Well that makes me feel infinately better. =D

I've always had bad writing... not horrible, but bad. I've since trained myself to write better... but whenever I need to write speedily I scrawl...

On the brighter side. It's also taught me (or I just have a natural talent) to be able to read horrible writing. I have yet to encounter horrible handwriting that I cannot decipher.

Shoot, you should come to work with me and help me read medical records. Some of those doctors don't even form English letters when they write fast.

Yeah, I do that. Though usually with enough squigglies to imply the presence of letters ;D

You're fluent in Chicken Scratch then? Usefully skill. Almost on par with being able to read Leet, though the chance of finding necessary knowledge encoded in that dialect of the Internet language is rather low.

You can't expect a language invented by 12 year olds with no intellectual ability to possess much useful information.

Why yes, it IS a "usefully skill" considering half my profs are said to write illegablly, but I for one can read their writing.

But "L33t" really is beyond me. One of my friends tried to teach me for the sake of being silly. It didn't work out.

Hum yes... I've been wondering about the accuracy of my typing. *Naturally the descriptions are pretty good fit though; but I'm pretty moderate in everything soooo...

I'm guess I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to having the last word? *=/
I should dissapear after this until next weekend... for my postsecondary degree's sake. *sigh*

Speaking of which...
is there a way I can keep track of the topics i'm watching without getting e-mails.
Because I keep getting e-mails showing up on my msger... i can't help but come check the replies... it's really too tempting. (yes that woul dbe why it seems like I reply instantly to every reply *bashes head against wall*

I was kidding, hanging out on forums all weekend can actually be a very introverted activity. It's way different than socializing in person.

Yeah, mark threads you're watching as favorites (a button that says 'Add To Favorites'... look right below this post). There is a button at the top of the forum under the banner that says 'My Favorites'. All the threads you're watching will be in one place.

Oh, and there's nothing wrong with posting a lot on this forum, it needs it!

Yes...
Facilitating discussion is something I've been force-trained to do...

Besides, I like discussion... i just don't like the people I must discuss with. It's easier if we think alike

Very un-INTJ-like. You should be ashamed. Waving and smiling...what's wrong with you?

I am an INTJ, trained to be more of an E... Nature says INFJ, nurture says ENTJ... and so I ended up with something in between.

Maybe if you spell checked your posts :P

BTW, it's 2 in the morning, and I'm rather drunk. I will however do two things: be obnoxious and spell check my posts.

Jezebel

Firefox has spell check built in, by the way.

Rei
09-29-2007, 03:17 AM
I've been doing that Guido. (and I can't believe you're drunk... and still on the forums)

And because I'm a perfectionist and meticulously personalize my options... I'm too lazy to dl and get used to a new program.

My friends have been getting on my case about still using IE for ages...

Guido
09-29-2007, 03:22 AM
My friends have been harassing me about using IE for awhile too :o but I won't crack. My biggest argument is that it has some support issues with java, or so I hear. That's probably fixed by now...

My friends wanted to 'hang out' tonight, which pretty much involved me sitting around bored out my mind. But there is alcohol at my disposal, which made it ok. After 3 hours of drinking and suffering, here I am.

Hey I bet Batman was an INTJ.
Oh and I'm no grammar Nazi I'm more of the Italian fascist kind of grammar stooge, I'm not very good at but I try real hard at . Although I am very particular about word usage. But like you I can't spell my way out of a wet paper bag, I mean sometimes not even Microsoft word knows what Im talking about. This makes feel good because it must mean that I'm smarter than the computer ;D
