Hey everyone. First, I just want to say that it's amazing to read so many posts from people who obviously think the same way I do.

One of my assignments was to take the MB personality test. I didn't take it, but when we had to discuss our results in class I read over the descriptions of the four main groups and immediately realized that I was a "rationalist." A while later I was bored so I googled the test and found out there were four more specific shreds and, well, here I am.

There are lots of personality tests and I've taken pretty much all of them at one point or another but this is the first time I've read the descriptions of "my" personality and gotten chills. I mean, it sounds like a description of me written by someone who understands me better than I understand myself.

By way of an example, one of the descriptions (I think it was personalitypage), mentioned in an off-hand fashion that INTJs have a weakness for repetetive sensory stimulation when stressed. I think they said it has something to do with the weakest facet asserting itself, or something like that. Anywho, that immediately rang a huge bell because I've been trying to figure out why I will watch internet videos for hours. Sometimes, when I just don't want to deal with the world, I go to yourdailymedia and watch funny videos for HOURS. I don't even notice 30 minutes going by and I keep telling myself I'll stop but I don't until I have to go to bed. It seems really out of character but, it can't be, because it's involuntary.

So I started reading descriptions from different authors and they all hit the nail squarily on the head. They each had slightly different takes and emphasised different things, but not once did they mention anything that made me question the rest of their descriptions. I followed a link here and started reading the posts and immediately realized that other people who were identifying themselves as INTJs communicated the same way I did. I suppose it's that intuition thing.

So I'm excited to join this community! I'm not going to list the reasons why becaues I suspect everyone already knows them. ;D
