Any fans of the HBO series on here? Some type discussion would be interesting, too. Googled the subject and only came up with a guess on Al Swearengen as ENTJ. Sounds about right since he's so skilled at sizing people and situations up. He's a fantastic character. I would probably despise someone like that in present day real life but in the context of the lawless cutthroat gold rush America...well, he's just the man for his time and place.

George Hearst is probably my favorite character though. I love his stone cold ambition. He strikes me as more of a mastermind. The image of him lying underneath his bed and taking great pleasure in his plans being executed really sticks with me. INTJ perhaps?

I've been hearing loads about the show. I'll probably watch it on dvd. Whenever I do watch it, I'll keep an eye out for the types of the characters ;).

Seriously though, INTJs should get on this.

Deadwood made me think The Sopranos set in the old west.

Loved the show, particularly as I am a big fan of Brad Dourif. The only thing, though, is that the dialogue was completely inundated with swearing. Now I'm not by any means a cuss-nazi, but the cursing was so rampant in the show that it was difficult to decipher what the characters were saying. It wasn't a matter of principle, but a matter of degree. Anyway I hightly recommend to everyone to at least see one episode as I think this is one series that ended prematurely.
