Hi there, I usually dislike introduction threads, but I figured I might as well be polite.
I recently took an MBTI test and was told I was an INTJ, and after studying the INTJ profile I was excited by how well it matched me. The excited bit was because I honestly thought something was wrong with me, I felt different from the other people in my life. Not "special" per se, but it felt like at times we weren't on the same wavelength.
Extended social interactions (like parties) completely exhaust me, and I honestly do not understand many of the social rituals people have. I also read that INTJs may come off as a bit arrogant to other people, and this surprised me, but looking back I can see how some people might have percieved me as such. At times I set a bit high standards, and coupled with a decent amount of self-confidence and an inability to forgive easily, I can understand how people might think that. Guess I should make an effort to do better. ;)
The profile I read also suggested that I'd be good within a profession like computer systems analyst, which I found pretty amusing seeing as I'm a computer engineer and enjoy designing and programming computer systems.
Oh right, an introduction, uh I'm 22, male, and love f/sf books, foreign (especially Korean) movies and classic rock.
Nice to meet you!
