That stupid bonus one wouldn't die at the end, had one life exactly.. I wanted to kill it to get 5 lives.. but it just kept walking through my defence.

I was at the pauze before lvl 50 building the most expensive purple towers in the whole screen and upgrading them to level 10 when my battery ran dry because I was to focused on the game :/ I still had 19 lives left....
My advice is this:
Invest all your bonus points except the last one (last one I used for extra dmg tower) into extra Interest and save as much money as you can...this way your money rises exponentially! Before my laptop shut down I had more than 1 million dollars @ lvl 49.
My favorite towers are the third red ones with the rockets they have a HUGE range. I put those in the middle and I also loved the blue slowing towers... I put those everywhere so all units were slowed at all times. This way I could make a very efficient and powerfull defense.
Great game btw I had alot of fun with it!

Darn it I lasted till level 45. I think my mistake was that I bought only red towers, especially the 2.5k one. At the end I have 4 of them at level 10 each and everything was going great, until the green vectors came out. My towers could only do 50% damage against them so there wasn't much I could do but sit and watch my ultimate tower defence get smashed *sigh*
Wow Apathy you had that much money? I think the reason I could only afford 4 lvl 3 red towards at level 10 (what a mouthful) was because my bonus points were spent on the range and damange increasing avatar. I placed my towards at 4 different sections and covered the entire maze. But alas, the green vectors brought me to my doom.
Excellent game!

I got a bit over 13mill points last night on switch back. Its a bit easy after you figure it out. I have no idea how some people get ~28 million though. Maybe they sell all their stuff before clicking to the next turn then buy it all back as fast as possible so they can collect interest on it?
Red 3 rocket launchers are the best dps per dollar but its more $ efficent to use the purple 2 as your first major DPS. Just make a long winding path covered in blue 1 slowing towers so rocket launchers 3 and purple 2 get to blast them for the longest amount of time possible. Also, dont forget that you should ALWAYS wait to spend money. If you can make it with what you have then wait. Buy as little as possible as you go on. Never buy anything until after you have already started the next turn so you can collect interest on that money before you spend it

The maximum interest you can earn is 30%, and that's only after 45 turns. If you sell something you only get 75% back from what you payed for it. So for that tactic to work you need to have atleast 33,3% interest which is impossible to obtain.
Unless... if you want the most efficient defense possible in which the least money is in your towers, I guess you could sell all your towers before the next turn and then only place just enough towers of the same color as the next wave so you could have more money in the bank and thus collect more interest. But I still don't think that would make the tactic efficient since you would lose 25% of your tower's worth every turn, and the interest is very low at the lower levels.

Tower defense is uninteresting as a game, except in the sense that it is a one-time mathematical puzzle.

Level 43 on Switchback, score: 2978818.
I think I can beat it if I try again (now that I understand the game mechanics).

A second time through I beat it on Switchback, score was 7million something. I also beat it on 'Up and Down' with a score of 3million something.. Fun game.
