Hello people,

I'm on board now and looking forward to watching this community grow. For quite a while I've been thinking how interesting an INTJ forum would be. I hope you don't mind a few INFJs around to use as throw pillows when needed. ;)

And look! you even have a smoochy smiley :-* . This feature is missing from most forums.

Oh and btw, your registration process was the most efficient of any forum I have ever joined.

Welcome Toonia!

The members here are suspiciously friendly for a bunch of INTJs, so I think you'll be okay. ;)

So what's the INFJ impression of the forum? Do the posts really come across as being cold and emotionally void? (serious question)

... Funny how one of the first F's here uses a smiley possibly never used before on this site.
Can't see the function of a smoochy smile. :-*

Take smoochy away, and take :'( while you're at it.
Peculiar emotional smileys.

Welcome toonia!

Welcome toonia.

I used the smoochy this morning - I still have cold chills :scared:

Hey, I've used the smoochy smiley before! :P

Welcome to the forum, toonia! Just out of curiosity, why would an INFJ be a throw pillow?

Not to me they don't. I'm familiar with INTJ's communication style. I appreciate the directness. Maybe the shared Ni plays a role. I'm also not a terribly emotional INFJ - more distant and analytical. I once considered the possibility of being an INTJ, but was spontaneously assured by a variety of people on ***** that it was not the case. :P

Although at age 13 I had trouble finding anyone to chat with because I was obsessed with astronomy, details about Mars, the layout and structure of the universe, attempting to conceptualize the fourth dimension, rather than giggling about boys. I tend to think in two streams simultaneously: one emotional/experiencing, the other analytical/observing. This tends to be the case regardless of the intensity of feeling. I seem INFJ-ish in that I prefer emotional peace, but this isn't because it's how things 'should' be, but because I value emotional efficiency. It's one reason direct communication is important to me. One main reason I am an F is that I avoid competition. I find it comes out to be a play of perception. Emotional drama and needless conflict wear me out, so I take breaks.

Just out of curiosity, why would an INFJ be a throw pillow?
I was just referring to INFJ communication style which can be more compliant than INTJs. The INTJs are the sturdy-built wooden furniture with harder edges here. INFJs can be throw pillows because they come in on top of the forum, have a softer style, can rest on the structure, but can be moved about. Mostly it was an extended metaphor of silliness and probably bogus.

Hi! I'm an INFJ can I stay? I suppose I need to change my avatar * *::)

You are most welcome to stay. And you'll have to negotiate the avatar with Jezebel!

I only know one INFJ in person, and the way we think seems to be very similar aside from the F/T differences (moreso than the INFPs I know). They seem extremely hard to find though so I haven't had enough real experiences to come to any conclusions.

Hi Toonia, I love you :-*
I'm an INFJ can I stay?
Hmmm...maybe...what brings you to an INTJ forum?

The truth: I never really had my heart set on this avatar. I set it as a test when I started, then members kept commenting on it so I kept it.

Thats INTJ for ya...

Anyway... It's cool to have some INFJ's around for comparison. I probably come of as an INFJ a lot myself because (I think) I'm a bit more compassionate that the average INTJ... but severaly people have insisted i'm definately a T so meh.

Welcome... and have fun with the kissy smiley

Toonia appreciates us INTJs more than most people I've ever met. Glad to see she joined. :) If she wasn't happily married, she'd probably be on the prowl for one of us, she likes us that much...

Thanks, wolf. :) While it's true that I am rather fond of the INTJs I know, my capacity for prowling is limited to looking out the window with the occasional dreamy thought. My prowling license was revoked because of this. :P

Although I have been known to follow people around in my big, fuzzy rabbit suit. hmmm perhaps that is why the license was revoked?

Okay so why does this rabbit have no feet? Not especially lucky? very disturbing. :suspicious:

True :) I really do seem to get along with INTJ's pretty well. P's not so much.

You're just saying this to keep our guard down. ;)

I have visions of Donnie Darko when you talk about your rabbit suit. You're the only rabbit-suit-clad person I wouldn't mind being followed by.

What sorts of Ps? I think all INFJs with light Fs are so similar to INTJs that we get along really well. We share almost everything in our order, except the middle two are swapped in orientation and position. So, by default, we're already extremely similar.
