Anyone have a good recommendation for an AGP Card?

Unfortunately, I have very little widespread knowledge of hardware, so its a bit difficult for me to tell whats good and whats bad.

All I really want to do with it is some light gaming such as WOW and COH. But be able to turn up all the options all the way up without problem.

I was actually thinking about this one : To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Personal search tips for any computer peripheral:
Go to Newegg.com, browse to the most narrow category you can (Video Cards->Desktop Graphics->AGP 4X/8X->Top Sellers) then sort by either Rating, # of Reviews, or Price depending on importance. I can't see your link seeing as how this is my second post but this LINK1 is a good start. I might recommend the SAPPHIRE 100228L for its support for DirectX 10 and 512MB of GDDR3 Video Ram but it's kind of pricey. You might actually check this LINK2 out and go down the list. What you care about is Core and Memory clock speeds, type of Memory (GDDR, 2, or 3), and amount of Memory.
Hope this at least points in the right direction.

Being able to see your link now...
Comparable to the one I recommended on Newegg - just a bit pricier.
Then again you're getting the convenience of local store-ness.

It's a newer card. However I have to say.. you may want to think about upgrading your computer... and at that price you can upgrade your computer... well most of it.

And it would run your Wow at high settings. I haven't play Coh's but I am sure it would play that at high settings as well.

I also have to add there is a bit more to a card then core speeds and mem speeds. Mem speeds are generally affected by type. Most core clock cpeeds are between 400-800mhz and some higher end cards actually have slower clock speeds. Like the 4850 and 4870 just release by AMD/ATI.

You have to check for pixel pipelines (which is an older technology.) or number of stream processors. Keep in mind that the number varies from NVidia and ATI. ATI has more then NVidia but somehow NVidia has been producing better cards "till AMD/ATI's 4000 series".

But if you want a new, up to date card for the AGP you are stuck with ATI. 2600xt is sold for 98 dollars on Newegg and you can get the only previously mentioned as well.

The motherboard in the list of computer parts I gave earlier has a 3200 graphics core, which makes up for one of the best onboard graphics units on the market now. Most powerful and has hybrid crossfire if you ever want to add a card for more performance later.

The meanest AGP card ever made was the 3850 (has an AGP version). Usually though it is cheaper to get a cheap AMD board + Chip + 2 gigs of DDR2 and a decent PCIE card than it is to bother with spending a bunch on an AGP solution.

Pretty much what the guy above me said, though if you hunt around you can get a brisbane X2 4000 to 4400 for less than 50 bucks. They will overclock pretty well on the stock cooler since they run so cool.
