When the new boss came in, he had us do an MBTI personality test... once I got my results (INTJ) I immediately had to research about it. Never having heard of the MBTI before. I saw the forum, and thought I'd join in.

I'll probably modify this post a lot, as I get more comfortable revealing more about my brain to a forum of strangers.

So far it seems to, although I took a second test to be certain I was this personality type, and it came up again, so I feel at least confident that this is the right personality type for me.

I have never inquired about my family history, because its really a boring background, and no one really sticks out as being the "thinking" type.

I have the same experience regarding family history. None of my six siblings would have been considered "thinking" type either. I really thought I was weird for many years. Maybe I am, but that's beside the point.

I have also retested as INTJ, but also as INTP. I'm still thinking on this, but not too concerned about it either.

Interesting boss.. Was that 'Had' as in 'asked' and you were willing? Or 'Had' as in 'made' i.e given no option?

Well I suppose it was optional, but I waited and waited because after taking the test he has his assistant schedule a time to meet with you. After a while I thought "Well I have to meet the guy at some point" and I took the test.
