The first season was in black and white. I think all the shows he listed went to color eventually. A lot of classic shows did.

Since you were having a shower moment about black-and-white movies, I'm surprised you didn't think of Psycho.

Anyway, I'll have to go with Ed Wood.

that was the best season imo

and they all did eventually go to technicolor, which felt like a great era had come to an end... man, i loved the black and white shows

Lassie was also black and white before it went technicolor

Twilight Zone, for my vote. I originally thought this was going to be a topic about the game Black & White.

These are all great (well, I was never actually a "genie" fan). Many of these old gems are still in syndication.

Too many old black and white movies to list. I am particularly fond of screwball comedies though. Anything with carole lombard. Bringing up baby with cary grant and Kathryn hepburn. Monkey business with Cary grant. Hitchcock movies. In my opinion movie making was just a higher caliber in the 30's-50's.

A really cute one: The Baker's Girl of Monceau. (All flicks from Eric Rohmer's Six Moral Tales, but some are in color ;))

They're running a marathon of Twilight Zones. That's not too bad of a show as far as black and white goes.

I'll take it one step further and add a black and white silent film. One of my favorite movies ever is "Un Chien Andalou" directed by Salvador Dali and Luis Buñuel. It's one of the most bizzare and interesting movies I've ever seen.

Here's part one:
