Hi people,

Wandering if anyone has one of these and how would you rate it? Thinking about buying one over the next week or two.

What are you going to do with it? personally if I wanted a cheap laptop for general usage I would buy a 2 or 3 year old used laptop. Would probably have more power than an Eee and a bigger screen for about the same price. If you are after a very small laptop though it might not be a bad choice.

If money were no issue, I would probably go for one of the sub-notebook panasonic toughbook range instead. Though the Eee-pc sure is cute and has no moving parts, and a flash chip hdd. Very nice little box. As I recall several competitors now offer similar units with even better features price/performance-wise. So do some serious cross comparisons online with the others on offer, before you hand over any money!

I took my car and drove right to the store after work to get one. On the day it was released. I haven't used it much but my INTP pal loves to play with it (for hours).

The keyboard is small or atleast for my sausage fingers. Wireless LAN have started to mess with me too.
