I want to introduce myself as an INTJ who is a person who probaby hovers too much over those I love because I don't want them to make mistakes. *It is difficult to be misunderstood. *Just because I'm stubborn, bossy, AND a logical thinker doesn't make me difficult to deal with.

I am happy to meet other people like myself!

Welcome to the forum, Bossy Mom!

Is it a coincidence that Badger Dad joined right after you?

I have a very different personality than my family members... I couldn't imagine any of my family members as being INTJ's, let alone my mom...

Don't worry, I am like the only INTJ in the family, unless my lil bro is one. We do annoy each other to no end.

We do annoy each other to no end.I don't have any brothers, and I think all my family members are extroverted, whereas I am heavily introverted. Though maybe my dad and grandpa are somewhat(not as much as me) on the introverted side.

Hi Mom! You sound scary, anyone who's too bossy would probably invade my personal space sooner or later. But you shouldn't be too bad, since you're an INTJ.. :)

Hi Bossy Mom.

FWIW - throw the kids in and see who floats (figuratively), you might be surprised.

Welcome to the forum, Bossy Mom.

In answer to your assertions:
I am an INTJ mother also.
I have to disagree with you.
I think people who are stubborn and bossy ARE difficult to get along with, whether they are logical or not.
I hope that you will learn to be more kind and gracious to your children while you still have time.
You will be glad you did.

People learn best by making mistakes, and they shouldn't be too afraid of making them.

I may be bossy and stubborn, but my kids love me. I have seen my daughter thru two liver transplants and made sure she always had the best medical care. Being bossy and stubborn has been a help thru her trials with the medical community. Unfortunately, I also have the tendency to sacrifice too much for her. I spend $140 to have her hair highlighted and her clothes are from A&F and Guess. But she's the best thing that ever happened to me!
