Requirements:
20+ members.
Moderator.
Loads of creativity.
1-2 murderers.
2-4 detectives
14+ victims.

Setting: New York, New York.

Set up: The streets seem safe on this moonlit night as a breeze gently carresses a veiled face. The figure to whom this face belongs to, however, is anything but gentle. Slowly, a smile forms as the figure moves away from Central Park. "Tonight may was just the begining, soon thier fear will consume them and I shall watch as they tear themselves apart."

Objective: Figure out who the murderer(s) is/are within 12 days.

Rules: Aside from relaying information and posting key events the moderator cannot be involved. The dearly departed can only say what they were doing prior to dying and cannot give any other players hints post mortem.

The murderer(s) can either kill you or try to convince you to work for them. Prior to a murder the murderer must tell the moderator who is going to be killed or if they want them to be a henchmen. The moderator then relays this information to the victem and gets details about what they were doing prior to the event taking place. If the henchman position is declined the murderer(s) kill the victem. If the henchman position is accepted then they must do whatever the murderer(s) want but are free to leave hints but cannot give away critical information without being killed. The moderator relays that information to the victim whom then decides thier fate. The murderer(s) must tell the moderator who was just killed and describe the senario. The moderator then discloses that information to the remaining players.

Their will be 3 CEO's whom occasionaly assign task for thier workers to do that interfer with thier daily lives. Civilians have at least an eight hour job. Work responsibilities cannot be overlooked. Civilians are free to do whatever job they want, however changes will add to suspition. In the event of displace items used in the murder, the person responsible must account for why it was missing.

The murderer(s) must not get arrested by the detectives under any circumstances, but are not allowed to commit suicide.

Civilians are uncopperative towards the authorities and hesitant to give out any information until day 6. After day 6 Authorities no longer need a warrant to gain civilian cooperation.

Relationships are encouraged as it will increase the sense of drama when a loved one is killed.

If your interested just say im in. If you want to play as the murderer(s) give a description of your first kill an email it to To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. and ill get back to you telling you your roles.

As you could probly tell I was watching Death Note today and figured it would be fun to try it out.

Hmmm... I went to a murder mystery dinner for New Year's once. It was a lot of fun. Your game sounds well thought out and interesting. Death Note is amazing. I won't volunteer to play until there's a sufficient amount of people.

It was just something I came up with in 2 hours after watching an episode of deathnote. It seemed interesting to me but I am not sure we will have enough people to play so im begining to think that it will take alot of time just to begin. I thought other INTJ's would enjoy a game where the only rules are defined by an artificial reprisentation of reality, and they could challenge each others intelectual capabilities.
Alwell, at least it seems like a good idea for a novel.

Nice try. ^.~ Maybe you could tailor the game for a smaller group of people?

we had a killers game on here for awhile. while it had the potential to be fun if the detectives can turn killer it makes it impossible to solve the game. I think roles need to stay insitu.
