Hello to all!

I'm a California geezer who for over 70 years believed was seriously weird. MBTI has helped my self-esteem in regards to how I perceive myself. I'm a retired educator, counselor, writer, coach and mentor. Love the arts, the enviroment and people who use rationale arguments to disagree with me. I also am a serious world traveler, foodie and cook. I am passionate about good cheap wine. I'm loyal to a fault and I was an absolute failure in the world of corporate America.
I look forward to talking to equally disfunctional people. ::) [smiley=bandana.gif] [smiley=bandana.gif]

Over 70 years old and on a forum? I'm impressed. Welcome from a young sprout, also in California and believed as seriously weird. ;)

Hello! I'm sure I'd be a failure in the corporate world too - not meeting deadlines, challenging all the rules, ignoring all my coworkers etc. That's what I'm doing in school now anyway. I'm so glad I found out I'm abnormal early on, when I still have 70 years left. *;)

Welcome! Hope you enjoy talking with the dysfunctionals.

wsb3499, you are my hero! You have achieved many of my personal goals; world travelling, cooking, cheap wine connoisseur, corporate failure...I bow down at your feet!

So INTJ's are corporate America door stoppers, huh. lol. Well, guess I will try to better prepare myself for this one; I'm studying Business Administration. Any suggestion, oh wise one?

I am convinced that you can do anything you want, provided you have the drive and the desire to adapt. I failed, primarily in my opinion, because my priorities were not the same as the mission of the corporations that employed me. *I also had a bit too much arrogance in dealing with people I thought did not see the big picture. *Eventually, I decided I was wasting my time and that of my employers.

Don't let my failure turn you off to business.

Hi! :D Welcome to the forum.
I used to think I was defective until I read my MBTI type description. Then I found out that most of the things that I thought were wrong with me were only things that were different from other people because of the way I see things. It was so nice to find out there were other people just like me!

By the way, what's a cheap pink or red wine that's not too sweet and not too dry?

First thing, I know that alot of people messed up with my screename: MInd_wanderer. So called me: MW for short, actually anyone really.

Not really, my professor said that you can learn alot from someone's failures and turned them into successes. This is an area, not many people pay attention to. As for me, yeah I made plenty of mistakes in my life. Do I continue it again? Yeah, here and there, not my favorite way of expressing it. The ignorance part is something you can't fully control, but you got the will to changed it into more knowledged based; whatever make you strive and continue without wasting time.

Someone people can easily misidentified me, visually as a youthful person, at the same time the soul of 40-50 years old. Give or take, I see this as a common trend. As you said, INTJ's can adapt to whatever you want to heart contends. Still can communicate with the youth, middle-age, and the elderly [still need work in this area, due to generation gap]. So, if you got some elderly rants, I can take it.

Welcome, wsb3499.

Did you noticed as you became older and wiser that you mellowed in your INTJness?

Hi Natrushka

My less-favored feeling came into play, as well as the sensing. I found as I evolved into my "whole self", the newly acquired balance created greater happiness for me. It was satisfying to now have more tools to deal with life.

So there is hope for the rest of us! ;D
