I've been testing as an INTJ since high school. I'm still a little creeped out when I read INTJ personality profiles- amazingly accurate.
I'm an attorney- which is a recommended career choice for INTJs- but I find it rather difficult at times. How do you get a job as an attorney? Networking. Who sucks at networking? INTJs. Ugh. Forcing myself to go to events is painful, to say the least. But once I get that job, I'm freakin' brilliant. ;D Before going to law school I was a musician. Very hard to switch career paths, but I had little choice. Luckily I found something else I was good at and even, occasionally, loved.
I'm married to an ENFJ. It's not too bad- he balances me out. I'm sometimes envious of his ability to make friends with anyone. He tries to encourage me to be more outgoing, but he just doesn't understand that not only do I not like it, I just don't care. At least he isn't an ESFP- now that would be bad.
Anyway- I'm very happy to have found this forum. I've been lurking for a few weeks and finally decided to jump in.
