I'm kind of weary of forums, but what the ****, I'll join in...

Uh, I'm not only INTJ but kind of borderline and tend to be not understood very well, so...

But, I did used to love forums, so I might stick around, though even on a bored for similiar minded people I don't expect to make friends, or really anything...

I'm usually pretty cool, but keep in mind I am borderline. While I'm usually quite rational and everything, my emotions can be really weird at times. Anyone not close doesn't have to worry, though, so I guess it doesn't matter here...

Anyways... Haminette's the username, as you can see... And, to avoid future confusion or questioning of such basic details, I'm female, and 21.

Hey there. Just out of curiosity, why are you weary of forums?

Poor experiences. I often come across people who either blatantly lie left and right bugging me to no end because it's a huge insult to everyone's intelligence that they expect it to be believed (they could at least put effort into it). Or, people who just clash with me in general. My confidence in what I know rubs some people the wrong way, in the same way that blatant frauds will rub me the wrong way.

I already noticed a fraud on this bored even, and I've hardly even joined. It'll be best that I stay away from that person. Of course, I expected as much before registering. Lots of people are like that, and this board's fairly open to join into so it's going to happen.

Also, because I'm an experienced board staff member, and an INTJ. When I join other boards I have expectations of the staff to do a good job. I'd imagine an INTJ forum wouldn't have that problem, though.

In here, you should not have too much clashing on someone else's intellegence, we call that sarcasm. Otherwise, its all fun and laughter, try not to take things too seriously and have fun, while your at it. We're all open-minded friendly people

Welcome to the forum.

I hope that you will find most of our participants to be rational and reasonable. You're not the only strong-minded individual here so clashes can happen, but generally if you act with respect then you will receive the same in return. Try us out and if you find yourself bored with our board then...we'll miss you.

If you have any suggestions, comments, or complaints feel free to PM any of the moderators and we'll work with you. Otherwise, enjoy.

I'll do my best to keep the borderline under control and to just... Ignore and not acknowledge the existence of any I find to be confused about their type so as to avoid any "ugly" battles... But, I can't make any promises, since there'd be no guarantee I could keep it. But, I am aware of the problem today, so I should do a better job than I have in the past, and at least I can be sure people have fair warning just in case now that I know what to warn them about.

So far, I'm mostly enjoying it here. It's kind of nice to go to read a thread and find other people expressing similar (if not the same) views and habits... Considering the lack thereof is wherein lies most my problems elsewhere in the world (virtual and otherwise)... And, then while people are so similar, a lot of us have different areas of expertise so it's not going to be simply like I'm talking to myself. An entire board where it's mostly like hanging out with my INFJ friend would be pretty cool.

I've even noticed that I'm probably not alone in my bad typing habit of somehow omitting entire words, which is kind of strange. But, maybe that's apart of the issue with communication we're supposed to have... Thinking the full sentence, but somehow leaving a word out here and there while typing that same sentence...

Oh yeah! Thank goodness for SpellCheck! I do all my posts in Word first, the copy to the forum - that way no one knows how bad a speller I am! :-[

lol I sometimes whip out with Word to check my spelling and/or if I'm using something correctly before using it. Mostly to check that I'm using it correctly, though... I take a while to post because I look it over for typos and missing words, and because I've learned to be careful in what I post. To stop and think about it first. But, in IM I typo and omit words a lot, and have to follow it with a correction to make sure what I meant was understood.
