The rules are simple use that massive brain power and create an alternate version of a recognizable saying or quote. The next person then gives the common version and submits his alternate saying or quote. Try to be as creative as possible and stump your fellows.
Example: One punctual stick obviates nine such.
Answer : A stitch in time saves nine.
OK sounds easy so here is my submission.
Undue interest in the affairs of others proved fatal to the feline.

The goal of the thread was to make it difficult, yet if I make it difficult everyone gives up and loses interest.. Well damn the flow....
