There are 2,675 registered members on INTJ Forum. Of course not all members are INTJs, so for simplicity's sake let's knock it down to an even 2,000.
Now if each INTJ member were to chip in $5,000 we would have $10,000,000 to work with.
It could buy us this little nugget: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
And we would still have some change to set up an infrastructure. I'm thinking a little windmill farm for power generation (The location certainly ensures plenty of wind).
We could set up our own government, elect an assembly, and pass laws and regulations based on logic and fairness for all. We could establish a school, a clinic, and develop an offshore industry to fuel our economy. The possibilities are endless.
Anyone with me?

I think $50,000 each for a total of $100,000,000 is a bit more realistic. The infrastructure costs would be huge with the sorts of tastes people here have in technology, and possible raw materials. But it sure is a great idea! Would we need our own military to keep all those emotional extroverted types away? This bit could be tricky. Hopefully someone will figure out how to extract an MBTI from Iris scans.
Maybe we could run a data haven there, and use the profits from that to service our requirements.
One thing ive always wondered with the buying of private islands is if the laws are a bit more relaxed with the right to burrow beneath the surface. Its a good way to solve all sorts of problems building 'down' as well as 'up' , ive always thought. ;)

I doubt my mom would sponsor me up to $50,000. First off, she doesn't care for INTJs.

Then maybe you could approach some of the older INTJs here for a loan. *cue evil laugh*

If I draft the constitution can I get in free? ;D

Only if you can do it in the form of a 'reality'-tv script. :p

I want to make the laws. Can we compile a system in which individuals are required to wear descriptive nametags?

I want to ban internal combustion engines to start. The officially recognized modes of transportation would be as follows:
bicycles
sea kayaks
sailboats
rollerblades
skateboards
I wanted to check with everyone first before proceeding...

Can we bring along some ESTJs and use them for transportation, too?

How will we transport large items like prefabbed watertanks, across the island?

A system of levers and pulleys designed by our resident engineers. Failing that, heavy equipment powered by hydrogen cells.

That would violate our equality laws...

Kind of oppresive, don't you think?

The thing about islands, is that it's not too far down until you hit the water table. Something to consider...

I was under the impression those tunnel boring machines could create a solid concrete tube as part of the process.
If on the other hand you were mining into solid rock, then the water table wouldnt be an issue, and you would have nice solid stone for building your castle and fortifications on the surface. And the beginnings of a suitable dungeon for working out all the issues with your significant other. Or you could use this space for a bunker/lab/rubbish-chute!

OK I need in on this.
I'll see if I can swindle the money out of an ESFP.
So, um, is there enough room for all of us or will we need to extend the island?

That may depend on whether we have laws about procreation. :p
*awaits the clamour of draft constitution writers to jump into the thread*

My population density calculations put us at 4.5 persons per acre. Enough room to swing a dead cat, but far from a Tom Hanks/Castaway experience...

How's a self-professed "motor-head" going to live in a place like that? Can I come and visit?

:suspicious: If you're gonna be swingin dead cats, I aint coming.
I just dont see you lot as farmers, carpenters, plumbers etc. The reality of self sufficiency is grinding at physical jobs for a basic life. Bunch of dreamers.
Bioplasmoid

A great amount of the physical labour can be performed by robots. We can buy off the shelf parts with the money from our data haven. We can 'borrow' schematics from the data haven clients who dont pay the bill, and get our resident engineers to hack the design into something better.
We could manipulate the ESTJs into taking part in our 'fitness program' ;) , until the robots have been completed.

Not too happy about the basics really.....being that it's an "i s l a n d".
How the hell are we going to create income in order to purchase established economies' produce? The acreage isn't enough to subsist (that said, we haven't counted the number of potential inhabitants yet).
Just not happy about this whole prospect (despite Robinson Crusoe being one of my favourite books growing up). It could end up as Easter Island or something even more seriously spooky. Human flesh has never really appealed thus far.......
Send me a postcard and tell me how you're getting on. Better still send a message in a bottle *imagines hearing nothing for about 7 weeks and then receiving bottle by TNT shouting, "We need food, please be quick!"*
Hmmmmmm........??

What are the pontential islands? Are we going to be a part of a country or are we going to be a country? In what climate will this island be situated? Can we grow crops or do forestry?
Anyhow finding plumbers and truck drivers aren't a problem. This will be the opinions on what's "fair" which will be battled by different logic approaches.

We could make money by offering lab space for Genetic research. Just image an island full of manamals, Dr. Morue would be proud. Seriously though I bet we could sell lab space for certain types of research to provide an income base.

Well, the swinging live cats thing kind of goes against my principles regarding animal cruelty...

If we can create a law stating no cats are to be swung I'm totally back in
So what'd ya say, cat's are for petting not swinging?
So can I have the smaller island to the north? I'll allow day visitors, I make a mean cocktail...

So... you guys finally found a place where you all can get together and devise the master plan of trying to take over the world. Ok, but I'll only keep silent about this little plan, if you guys let me visit! ;)
