I don't understand why people prefer certain parts of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum over others. Maybe I am a robot. I don't see any purpose in having a favorite color.

You might be.:p Nobody ever said anything was rational about it. Most people like a certain color because of the way it makes them feel. Why do people prefer certain foods? Why do people prefer certain brands and styles of clothing? Why do people prefer certain authors over others?

I think you should have arranged the list in the poll so that the histogram bars matched the color they represented!

Lightish turquoise-ish blue-ish
That's about the best I can do describing it, so I voted blue.

GREY (spelt with an 'e', thank you very much.)
After that, green, black, and rust (that specific shade of red).
EDIT: I'm sad. Grey isn't on the list! Oh well. Voting for green.

Actually, according to my art major mother it is. I'll take her word for it.
I prefer red. Something about the bold aggressiveness of the color always draws me.

I voted for green, but I also like purple, turquoise and, okay, I do like black a bit. Black is only a noncolor if you're talking about light. In pigment, it is a presence of every colour, which results in all the light being absorbed, so that you see black.
My best friend is an INFJ, and her favourite colour is blue. I don't think she likes pink much at all.

I don't think most infjs would be big on pink in reality ^^

Pink I don't like at all. I dunno if its just me or if it's a "female T" thing.
There's just something vaguely irritating about it.
maybe it's just how overused it is.

Red then Black then Purple.
Least favorite would be Yellow then Blue.
Blue. In college I wore blue clothes, had a blue car, a blue skateboard, blue posters, a blue carpet, blue bedspread, had blue eyes, wanted blue hair (but never got it for some reason), and I was blue for halloween.

Turquoise. I have a turquoise car. I like color in general, it makes me happy. But I don't care for maroon. I like texture, too, and good design. I have thought about being an interior designer, with an emphasis on organization and the best possible use of space. Getting off topic here...

Red, brown, grey, silver. I voted for brown.
I have some more specific tones with their funny names, but that should be enough for now. I've noticed people I like a lot often favour green.
Edit: As an example of my taste I like the gamma of these posters.

I voted for indigo, but really I have about 10 favorite hues. Turquoise and any color that goes well with it pretty much sums it up.
My home looks like a rainbow exploded in it. I would never be happy with monochromatism nor all neutrals.

I love blue, but I voted for indigo, because it's sort of a different shade of blue. Interestingly enough, has anyone else heard that apparently some big shots in the science world decided to remove indigo from the electromagnetic spectrum? I heard this from my physics professor last year, so don't quote me on this, but apparently it was decided that indigo is too close to both blue and/or purple to really deserve its own designation in the emag spectrum. First Pluto, and now indigo...what next?

Unlike the exclusion of Pluto as a planet, which I resented and still refuse to acknowledge because I don't understand astronomy and don't feel like reordering my brain at present, I think I would agree with whoever had this idea. I don't understand the electromagnetic spectrum very well, either, but I never included indigo when I drew pictures of rainbows as a kid, because I couldn't understand why it was more important than, say, yellow-green or red-orange. Granted, I also always named the colours starting at purple (which I never called violet), which caused all manner of confusion, as no one ever bothered to explain it to me, and I never bothered to explain it to them, because we figured we understood eachother. I wasn't introduced to Roy G. Biv until grade 6.
My favourite colour was blue until grade 5, when I discovered that almost every other girl in my class liked blue instead, at which points I desisted. I think I had this idea that boys liked blue and girls liked pink, which was why I picked blue in the first place (plus my parents painted my first ever bedroom blue, which probably helped). This is further supported by the fact that ever since I decided I liked green instead, I have been progressively losing my irrational hatred of the colour pink.
I hope I'm not repeating myself too badly; I suppose I could check what I've posted in this thread before, but that would be too much work. ;)

I must admit that I didn’t vote. I like color but I don’t have a favorite. I like them all to varying degrees, depending on my mood and the environment in which I encounter certain colors.
I think you should have arranged the list in the poll so that the histogram bars matched the color they represented!
Awesome.

Blue, then yellow. They are the ones I can actually see for what they are. I am red-green-brown colour blind, so I have trouble with the rest.
