My baseball team is playing for the state championship (game three tomorrow for the series) and i was just wondering if any of you are or were very interested in sports, or if you play(ed) sports? I know a couple of INTJ's who put little stock in sports.

Oh, not me I put much stock in sport. You name it I've played it a some time (disclaimer: previous statement may be a lie). Love watching it, playing it and talking about it particually team sports. Sadly I don't get to see much baseball around here.

Track, soccer, a bit of football, biking, a bit of basketball...A bit of most stuff, really, with quite a lot of track and soccer.

cycling...my dream is to go pro...just finishing my degree right now for a backup plan.
Before cycling I played lots of basketball, track, cross country, some football, was really good at baseball until mid-High school, and the pole-vault.

Track and field I ran the 800m, 400m, 4x400m relay, and then whatever else I felt like doing.
Tennis.
Soccer as center midfield or defense for indoor soccer.
I skateboard regularly.
Football as running back, wide receiver, kicker, punter, kick return, punt return, safety, linebacker, and cornerback.
Wrestling in the 135lb weight class [yeah it's odd to have a 135lb linebacker, I know. Or someone 135 playing football].
Those are the things I've been part of a team for. Other than that I'll play just about any sport but there are quite a few I don't like [basketball....hate it] but happen to be decent at.

I'm a big sportsman. Play football (soccer football), rugby and cricket. I give a lot of my time to sports not only playing but watching as well.

I am one of them. I consider myself to be a sports agnostic. It actually makes me think that there's something wrong with our society when the salaries of professionals sports entertainers are taken into consideration.
I do dig the Olympics, though. :)

I've played baseball until high school, football halfway through high school, soccer as a kid, wrestled one year in high school, golf since middle school, and I play sports in casual games with my friends.
I'm really into sports, I'm an avid fan of the sox & pats & a casual fan of the celtics.

I take it you were one of those people that the running back ran [I]away[I] from :). I was never big on football. I have a future in baseball and i fractured my throwing shoulder last year in football so i am giving it up.

yea, he wouldn't even have the ball and i would still take them down
they put me against the wide receiver a few times, but that kid was scared cause i would just rush out to him and take him down no matter what
of course, i got black flagged a few times for that
heh
but usually, i was guard or tackle, taking on guys twice my size

Thats the reason i was never good at football. I just dont have that tenacity. Baseball suits me much more. A game of inches. Precision and mind.

Baseball and powerlifting. I also played basketball, but that was in junior high when my early growth spurt could cover up just how terrible I was at the game.

The only sports I participated in were before high school. My parents tried to get me to play tennis & join track, but I only showed for a few practices and then bailed. For a church I played some soccer and basketball. However the sport that I really got in to and continued for a few seasons was baseball. I was always the fastest kid on the team and I had a good arm, so I usually played outfield positions. I was horrible at batting. I would hit foul balls every time I made contact. Bunting was about the only way I could get on base successfully. I played sports for my dad's sake. Once I was in high school he said it was up to me to choose what I wanted to do, so I haven't touched a baseball since.
Currently the only sport I'd consider playing would be volleyball. It's more casual & less competitive, so I don't have to worry about making a bad move. Also there's usually beer & chicks involved. :)
I've played basketball, soccer, and volleyball. I was pretty good at soccer, played club for 8 years before High School. But volleyball was my forte. I was moved up 2 age divisions (the max) on my club team and was the #1 prospect in the county... then I just quit.. the coach was on vacation in Hawaii and she called me every couple hours hoping I changed my mind. I mastered what I wanted, and the coach that was still in the city was a complete and total bitch, I didn't feel like putting up with her mindless drivel so I said bye.
The head coach still has a grudge against me to this day :). Oh well
I'm pretty good at ultimate frisbee because I can project where the frisbee will go. Now if only I was taller.

Muay Thai and Gymnastics. I have been doing both for a pretty long time now. I also enjoy 'Parkour', but not as good at it due to the lack of practice. Sports is an important part of my life. It is one of the many factors that bring me great satisfaction.

I've recently played men's adult hockey and baseball.
I also play basketball, football, and softball recreationally.
I'm a pretty good all-around athlete, as is my father, another INTJ.
