some good physics simulation eyecandy (contradiction in terms maybe) screensavers or demos ? Windows xp platform, mid range GPU, approx 1-2Ghz cpu, 2GB Ram. Opengl, DirectX or Software Rendering is fine.

In particular water/hydrodynamics and particle systems, or lissajous patterns in 3 dimensions would be great. Interactive parameters, even better. :lovestruck:

Oh and freeware, of course!

Please be aware peoples, before posting/viewing any links here, that I can't control what you get at the other end. There are far too many "free" screensavers out there which you would do your best to avoid.

That being said, there are probably some cool -legit- ones out there, so post away if you know about them

I recommend this. Totally neat and very hypnotic. :)

HackerX - I stressed a little before starting this thread, about malware and tojans, it has to be said. As for the free bit, well thats also very true. A bit like the early days of shareware and blurry definitions of the concept.

Replicant - Thanks, it looks semi-organic almost. :-)

One little gem i've enjoyed for a long time is this one, and would love to find something similar but in color and using a high res voxel engine on my 'ancient' GPU. I came across it as a diversion one time when searching for sample applications for MenuetOS, which is also a cool 'proof of concept' for a tiny semi functional OS. Anyway here is the link - To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
