My avatar was removed, but I can't figure out why. I read your guidelines, and don't appear to be in violation of any of them; unless the peace sign is an offensive gesture, suddenly. In any case, please help me understand why this image did not meet the guidelines. Maybe a second set of eyes on the problem will help.
It is the appropriate size, and is 11kB.

Thanks.

Large black border on the top and bottom. Do you have the original sized image it came from? If not, I can edit that one to work.
Edit: Here is a version without the border if you would like to use it.

Thanks for your help, but it looks like you put the entirety of the black border up at the top, then matched the shade to the background of the original image. I guess I'm having a little difficulty understanding the major objection to putting the borders on the top and the bottom, thus preserving the integrity of the original image from a graphic design standpoint.
I'll use yours.

In order to avoid disabling custom avatars altogether, leaving only the avatar gallery (or less) as is the case on some boards, we've given people the option of formatting on their own. Custom avatars must therefore be customized to 115x145, in set with the avatars native to INTJf. Allowing borders of this type is to allow custom avatars that are images effectively smaller than 115x145, which would render the format normalization graphically inoperable. Particularly when abused.
