I've been following the ongoing case overseen by the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal involving a collection of anti-Islamic articles and books. Basically it pits free speech against Canadian equality laws. I was wondering if we had any Canadian forum members who could give me some more information or perhaps a better perspective of the national opinion of the case.

Yes--it's another chapter for Canadians. Human rights is a bit more complex in Canada than the US--having to do with the struggle of french canadians for recognition, and native people's rights, being part of the brit empire, and the relative balance of power between the national and provincial government that gives greater authority to provincial governments than in many countries.
