"Other", when available, means green olives.

Alternatively, red saurkraut and onions.

Ketchup, sweet relish, onion and cheese if going "standard".

Ketchup, mustard (spicy), onion, chilli, cheese, and hot sauce. I like spicy.

Yellow mustard and onions is my #1 pick.

The other way I eat them is with bacon and cheddar broiled on top of the dog and bun.

Ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, dill relish, onions, tomatoes.

Celery salt.

Everything then, except macaroni cheese? Greedy. ;p

I tend to stick to red sauce (that's ketchup to you Americans). I'll sometimes have crispy fried onions on there too, but that's pushing the boat out a little.

Actually, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese go pretty well together. EVERYTHING goes with macaroni and cheese.

Just ketchup, unless I'm eating a chili cheese dog. Even then I don't want anything but chili and cheese. Usually I don't even use a bun. . . Actually, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese go pretty well together. EVERYTHING goes with macaroni and cheese.
They go excellently together.

Only ketchup. Always.

....people put mayonnaise on hot dogs?

I rarely eat hot dogs, but when I do, I put mustard and maybe some cheese.

I never eat hot dogs, but were I to do so I imagine that sauerkraut and spicy mustard would be the only way to go...

Ketchup, yellow mustard, onions and sauerkraut. Hotdogs are the only time I prefer yellow mustard over spicy mustard and just about the only time I eat ketchup at all.

I'm a traditionalist. Stone Ground Mustard (I voted spicy) and Kraut are by far the best on my Frankfurters.

I'm not necessarily opposed to ketchup, onions, dill relish, or the occasional cream cheese (Seattle dogs for the win), but given the choice, it is almost always exclusively REAL mustard and Kraut.

spicy mustard, onion, jalapeno/other pepper, tomato - exclude in reverse order as quality of meat increases

I'm surprised you didn't list coleslaw. I don't use it myself, but I know quite a few people here in the South that do. Personally, I'm a chili, cheese, and mustard kind of guy. :)

Cream Cheese? On hotdogs??

Oh yeah. Good grilled foot long with a little cream cheese, some grilled onions and good mustard is breathtaking. It's a bit bizarre, but we like them up here in the Pacific Northwest.

I think I selected everything found on a Chicago-style loaded hot dog. I forgot to select Other but I should have for peppers.

I've only had a few loaded dogs like these in Houston. There is a stand that serves them across from the baseball stadium.

Ketchup or Mayo never goes on my dawg. I liked ketchup... when I was 6.

PB&J and mac and cheese?

Spicy mustard, sauerkraut, and onions. Occasionally the jalapeno will be added.

Ketchup is gross. :square:

I'm one of those "plain" people.

The only condiments I eat are soy sauce, and wasabi, and only those if I eat sushi. The last time I tried eating condiments was when my happy meal order got wrong and I started dry heaving after the ketchup, mustard and (mayo?) got in my mouth. My mom was super mad at me for "making a big deal", lol.

I will on occasion eat mayo, but only if its freshly made, and only in a good sammich.

Yup. Get a couple tablespoons spread along one side of a warm bun, then deposit hot dog atop it, and cover with your favorite goodness. The key is warm bun, and hot dog so you get melty cream cheese.

Yeah, most condiments make me dry heave too. Ketchup is the exception. Soy sauce is one of the worst. I can't stand even a hint of the stuff.

Only one side? I think that would bother me.

Ketchup seems to be a highly polarizing condamint. Condiment? Minty condom? You know what I mean.

Spicy mustard with sauerkraut and Ketchup with sweet relish.

I voted other. Since I've started finding nitrate-free hotdogs, I've started eating them again. Generally cut up and eaten with a fork, plain. Not even bread. I started doing this for my toddler and it looked tasty.

Cream cheese, tomato sauce, wholegrain or american mustard and fresh tomato... keep the 'hot' part, hold the 'dog'.

Typically I avoid hot dogs, but when forced to make a choice I prefer hot dogs to have mustard and pickles on them.

Did you know it would better to just eat the condiments that go with hot dogs than the dog and bun? Mmm...there is a joke in there somewhere, I just know it.

That depends upon where you get said dogs. There are places that actually make them out of meat instead of the traditional "lips, noses, asses, and hooves" and they are breathtaking products.

It's pretty easy to make sausage, and they're bloody delicious. A little ground round, a little ground Pork Shoulder, some spices, a casing machine and you've got dinner!

Agreed! Grilled onions, cream cheese, and BBQ. It makes for some good grub after a night in downtown Seattle.

For crying out loud. Can we PLEASE add the following to this poll?

Pickled sport peppers
Celery salt
Dill pickle spear

I wouldn't complain about this but you manged to completely out Chicago.

The Chicago hot dog:

is steamed
is all beef
is served on a poppyseed bun
is topped with:

yellow mustard
chopped white onions
sweet pickle relish (usually piccalilli, which is neon green)
A dill pickle spear
Tomato wedges
Pickled sport peppers
celery salt

And there is nothing like it.

Also, in my opinion putting ketchup on a hot dog exhibits poor character.

yellow mustard, Chili, cheese, and a few onions.... or just mustard. yum.

But it has to be a vegetarian hotdog.

I haven't had one in at least a couple of years. I only like them at Quito, my hometown. Hope to be there next year, you have me salivating right now real badly.

My favorite words are: ALL DRESSED.
I chose almost all the ingredients you listed, plus I usually put other toppings such as different kind of salads. THe hot dogs over there are at three or four times bigger as the ones I see here in Canada, therefore they have enough space to go full fledge sinful there. I know many of you must be turned off by this hehe, I often made a mess over my shirt, hehe. Ol good times.

The hog dogs here look so pitiful that I am not even tempted.

Ketchup and mustard. For bratwurst, subtract ketchup, use stone ground mustard and add sauerkraut and mayonnaise.

Campbell

Ketchup with a little bit of mustard and onions. Also, I prefer the dog be grilled until it's splitting open down the side and starting to char.
