View Full Version : Right/left brain change?

The S/N preference are obviously similar to right/left brain tests, if not the same. I was recently surprised at my own apparent shift in these preferences. I used to be a definite right brained person and a strong iNtuitive. Assuming you're familiar with the spinning dancer test, I had taken that and saw it spinning clockwise ( indicating I was right brained ). I recently started questioning my iNtuitive preference and realized that I'm more of a Sensing type now. But how is that possible? I decided to look at that dancer again. This time, I didn't see it spinning. Instead, it continuously turned back and fourth. It was hard to even see it spinning one way or the other. But after staring at it for a while, I could get it to spin either way.
Thoughts? Has anyone ever experienced this kind of change? Does anyone see the dancer turning back and fourth?

I have seen the dancer turn back and forth, but I can force myself to see her turn either way. I also seem to have a balanced brain preference.

The first time I saw the dancer, I saw her spin a certain direction (which I can no longer remember), but before I long I could make her go either way. Later on when I looked at her again, I only saw her make half turns. I don't feel any change in my brain preference, though.

Brain damage
Aging or Maturing
Or something conscious / sub-conscious.
etc...

That dumb lil dancer test though, every time I look at it, it switches directions.

it mostly went around clockwise for me

until the background was changed in it to a lighter color, then it totally went counterclockwise

and then back to clockwise was the background was changed to darker again

The dancer for me spins a different direction each time I see her.

I'm VERY strongly N, but I'm largely left-brained. (I'd say my percentage is about 60%/40%, left and right, respectively.) I used to be more right-brained, but as I went through early adolescence I became distinctly more left-brained. I still have a pretty good development of both, however.

The dancer spins in a different direction every time I look and I have no control over it. It switches direction sometimes, particularly when I space out.

I only ever see the dancer spinning clockwise and can't get it to change no matter how hard I try…I'm left-handed and right-brained and I was surprised that a lot of people don't see it the way that their handedness would predict.
